World's First Direct Diode 476nm Laser Pointer! **Video Added!!**

I agree fully. Forget ebay for something like that. Also, why in the world would you want a $500 IR laser? You do realize that IR is invisible and insanely dangerous right? It kind of defeats the entire purpose of being a laser when you cant even see it don't you think? Get a nice lighter if...

What is your internet connection speed?

30Mbps is definitely enough for most normal use. I got what I have because my house is full of gamers and we plan to host a game server or two. Plus downloading large files is no longer any issue at all. In fact this month our total transfer amount exceeded 900GB so we definitely put the...

World's First Direct Diode 476nm Laser Pointer! **Video Added!!**

520nm would be the cheapest of those. Since it is now possible through direct diode you could find a sweet custom build of that wavelength. I don't know what styro is asking for his 476nm lasers but you may be able to afford one once he has them built up.

What is your internet connection speed?

I like my ISP: When my roommate isn't streaming I can hit 170Mbps down and 45Mbps up. BTW, a note on that Telstra(NKO29's) connection, that test speed is over 12GBps(gigabytes not gigabits) which is faster than even internal SATA connections to your hard drive are capable of (SATA3 spec is...

FS: ***Selectable test load up to 3A (assembled or DIY kit)*** IN STOCK!

My main point was if you were making new boards you might want to consider revising the design for using two resistors. As it is though they work great.

GB: 473nm diode information / giveaway

We don't really have enough data to say either way bro. If we tested one or two more diodes then we could take a guess. Even then at this prototype/engineering sample level its likely that any later production could be drastically different. It could even vary between batches done at the same...

FS: ***Selectable test load up to 3A (assembled or DIY kit)*** IN STOCK!

That's pretty much how it worked out in my head. Though I sort of just figured that was the case based on logic. I am not really very well versed on circuitry but I am working on it and picking things up where I can :D Anyway, I may just build myself a test load with way overkill heat...

Hmm, are you certain? I have heard that the wattage adds for both configurations. It sort of makes sense but at the same time it sort of makes sense that it would add for both configurations. In the case of setting up ballast resistors for some HeNe tubes I have Sam(Sam's FAQ) told me that...

I had a scare the other day with a rail on my PSU being stuck at 30V .75A. I opened it up and it turnes out that a ribbon cable came loose during my move. That second when I turned it on and turned the dial and nothing happened really sucked XD Anyway, I can't freaking wait until the drawing. I...

NEW 1.5-2.5W 445nm Blue/Black Ice/Flash Freeze Lasers FREE US Shipping

Alright guys. I'm going to put on a deal for the next 24 hours and add in a GITD focus ring for free for the two lasers I have in stock. I'm also going to reduce the price of G2 lens upgrades down to $40 for the two lasers.

Laser for reef tank pest anemone removal.

I just built a 1.7W 445nm laser and I have it listed for $150 if you are interested? I also have a 1.8W for $160 if you want a little more power. I have sold lasers of this power for this exact use and have had people tell me they worked perfectly. Anyway, I just thought I might have built...

Unpressing would be nearly a death sentence lol. Glad to hear you aren't even considering doing that.

Wow ok thanks for the info guys. What about metal oxide resistors? I found this 5W 330mOhm resistor that I think could work with 3 in series: MOSX5LR33J KOA Speer | Mouser I also found some 5W 500mOhm resistors that could work with 2 in series: 286-0.5-RC Xicon | Mouser

FS: ***Selectable test load up to 3A (assembled or DIY kit)*** IN STOCK!

Hmm, I didn't know that inductance would be an issue. Now I'm wondering exactly how it effects the driver though. I understand what inductance is but what I wonder about is how it would effect the driver which would be far enough from the resistor not to be within range of the field. Anyone have...

Pssshhh you settle down XD These diodes are insane lol. Two lines from a freaking diode? *mind blown*

FS: ***Selectable test load up to 3A (assembled or DIY kit)*** IN STOCK!

The diodes aren't much of an issue afaik. A little heatsinking on them and they seem to be rock solid for a long time. Its the resistor that can take a beating if you run the load for extended periods. I for one haven't run mine for more than like 30 seconds at a time since it only takes 5-10...

    First Build Of Powerful Laser

If you mean the driver being a little big for the diode that isn't quite enough information to be able to tell you that. The way drivers work for laser diodes is voltage and wattage are essentially meaningless. What really matters is current. For a M140 as long as the driver can supply ~5V+ the...
