    Everything on sale. Mohgasm.com Closing

Sorry that you won't be around for the community as much but happy that your position at your job is growing! Good luck in all your endeavors! (I put in an order for some lens ;))

    C-mount handheld & 40W FAP 808nm.

Welp I tried a couple of the lens from the projector and it seemed to work pretty well! My professional mounts would only take one lens that I wanted to use(the one with a flat edge on it), the other lens was too small so for now I mounted it in something I found and use pliers to get it close...

DIY 473nm / FRANKEN-TEK B&W Transplant To Handheld With TEC

Re: FRANKEN-TEK A B&W 473 Transplant To Handheld With TEC That's great work! It's not easy working with higher powered IR like that. For one, it's hard to see exactly what the beam is doing. I think you have it down though!! Subscribing to keep up with your project. :gj:

New 3.8mm red Diodes on the Block.

Those things have a lot of punch for such a small package! Thanks for the testing and sharing. What are the beam specs like? Were you able to tame it down?

    515nm Argon Ion

I think the last picture actually captures the color pretty well. There is almost a teal color to the lower wavelength green.

    515nm Argon Ion

Thanks. It came from an auction on fleebay. At power it is best guess +40mW

    515nm Argon Ion

Howdy all. I'm pretty excited about my latest gas laser and wanted to share. A 515nm Argon Ion laser. The whole kit set me back $130 with shipping.:D..It came with a very nice Fan, the psu with two keys and a little controller. It didn't come with a power cord but I was able to rig one up for...

    Strange 815 sled?

I'm not sure about the diode mount and the differences, but perhaps this short video by DTR will help. This is the way I always extract diodes and i'v never damaged one yet. Just twist it back and forth carefully and the casing will break. Good luck and have fun!

    C-mount handheld & 40W FAP 808nm.

Thought I would share some photo's for those that are interested. I decided to pop the top off the 'non-functioning' 12W diode that I have to take a look inside. Upon looking inside and taking photo's I think that it may be in working condition. I'm not sure, but the internals look to be intact...

    Spectra Diode Labs..8110

Thanks BShanahan14rulz, I finally did hook up my DDM to it. They are for testing the output of the driver. As for the unit's I think that they both have dead diodes. I took apart one of the units and am using the cooling block and a new diode array that is working great...

    C-mount handheld & 40W FAP 808nm.

Yup, I'v been eyeing a variable PSU for a while, but the ones that will go up to 40-60A get a bit expensive. Cheapest i'v found was a 15V 50A for around $300. The little ones i'm using is just because I didn't want to wait until I could afford a nicer PSU;) The one in your link is pretty fairly...

    C-mount handheld & 40W FAP 808nm.

Thanks all for the input. I was excited to finally get something with a bit more 'punch' to it. JLSE...I actually have a couple of the projector optics assemblies coming, so i'll put them in a mount and give it a try, thanks for the suggestion! As for the PSU I must admit I was a bit...

    DIY gas laser

This is some great stuff!! I feel your pain, I did get a short burst from my NST with a TEA build...WOW! Keep the build notes and pictures coming. It's great to see a real for real DIY build like this!

    C-mount handheld & 40W FAP 808nm.

Howdy all. I thought I would devote a small thread to my recent projects. First is a couple of handheld C-mount diode host's and the second is a 40W FAP diode bar 808nm. Thank you to RHD for the two keyed host's with the diode mounts! I was able to get one of the original host's to work with...

FOR SALE - Massive Selection of Host + Heatsink COMBOs :)

Okay RHD and all that may be interested I used the other mount with a 635 or 650nm(not sure which) diode. The mount fit right into a Romisen RC-A8 host that i'v wanted to use. The switch has a problem and only works as a momentary one right now, but it works! I used a flex drive that I had...

    How to pulse a laser?

Always good to keep in mind. Thanks for the warning. I'v always got my goggles close by;) I didn't mean to down play the dangers by say it's not 2W powerhouse....just to make fun;)

    How to pulse a laser?

So I have been follow this thread a bit to see where it may go. Some great ideas for creating a pulsed driver! I, on the other hand, am not experienced in electronic schematics and creating what I want yet. I'll keep reading threads like this until I do though....and thanks to all that...

[Pic Heavy] My first HeNe Melles Griot 05-LHR-911

Gas laser are the best! There is something about them that puts off the real element of a laser for me. For all those that may be interested....Melles Griot lasers that are 'RED' 632.8nm are lable: LHR or LHP. Here is a handy link to identify the industrial HeNe's that you may see for sale...
