Easiest way to pot mod a 5 mW green laser pointer?

Re: Easiest way to pot mod a 5 mW green laser poin i tried pot modding with my radioshack greenie, was a waste of time. Compared to my DX 50mW the beam was much much dimmer. You also will probably ruin the leadlight cosmetically when attempting to open it up since most of the time they're glued...

FS: Kryton Groovy Green Kit! While they last...

Re: FS: Kryton Groovy Green Kit! While they last.. Just received them! Thanks! I must say quality work here, everything worked perfectly as expected! I haven't gotten my module i ordered from Susie yet, but i tried one of my low powered green modules from a leadlight i had and i must say it...

so is there any more news on these things? seems as if this thread has gone dead!

trying to decide on a module to use

I'm not sure on using the 100mW module considering its high power and risk of burning whatever you put on the end of the saber to contain the beam. Why dont you get a stick of green plastic that is frosted? I would think that the laser would light that whole thing up! 50mW should be plenty at...

What about this? Could be ok?

The goggles you own might protect you from the IR rays but its not certain how well they are made. I suggest you buy a good pair of goggles that are aligned to protect from 532nm light. Also on the IR filter, the best way to know it has one is by taking it apart, it should look like a blueish...

send me a pm about UK custom regulations and we can talk.

What about this? Could be ok?

usually you would want to tend to stay away from ebay sold lasers, this might be an exception. The IR filter is a big plus and with the key to disable the laser it looks like it passes FDA regulations for lasers here in the US. maybe some other people here can chime in....i only know so much...

    WTB: Ipod touch or classic

Hey i'm in the market for a new MP3 player, but i don't want to spend the ridiculous amounts of money you have to spend on a new one. I'm looking for either an ipod touch of at least 16gb or the classic 80 or 120gb. Offer up guys! I have lots of video game crap sitting around and some paintball...

    Professor's knowledge of lasers....

We got some really wise folks in here! Im glad to hear these things as I'm half way through my first year in college and I'm looking at what to expect. I just found it frustrating to sit in a class and hear so many false things being taught and people just sitting there as if they were the...

    Rkcstr driver max voltage

the only problem with using 10440's is that when (in my case) they are fully charged they output around 4.2v each, thats good for 12.6V. I'm not exactly sure at how much that is pushing the Rckstr driver and whatnot.

    Professor's knowledge of lasers....

No, the equipment is there, its pretty up to date actually. Most of the machines have adequate memory, cpu speed, etc....We actually use MS Office 2k7, there are many foibles with that in which i haven't even mentioned either lol... EDIT: Just to let you know I never even challenged the...

    Professor's knowledge of lasers....

I know this may be slightly a bit off topic for this section but I really felt it needed some noticing. I am a full time student at William Paterson University and due to their general education program I have to take certain "general" courses. One of these courses is Intro To Computer...

    Dx shipping time question?

Daguin pointed out a good thing, DONT look at the site for info lol, it only makes you more frustrated. I remember ordering some batteries from the site and it took AGES for it to change from processing to shipped. I think it took me nearly 3 weeks to receive what i ordered? All I can say is...

Should I sell my Ipod Classic for a Touch

To be honest, I think you're going to really miss all the space your classic has. None of the ipod touches go over 32gb as of now and theyre much more expensive at only 32gb. I used to have a classic (until it was stolen :'( ) and i miss it dearly. The ipod touch is cool and all but whats the...

At what power will Blu-Ray burn?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ptfq6IddKl0 There's mine, set @ 110mA. I don't know the exact output power but I'm guessing around 85-110mW, correct me if im wrong lol.

So did I just waste some coin on this red laser?

Re: So did I just waste some coin on this red lase I have one worry with this idea, the fact that high powered lasers are being put onto a plane where the wings are moving. Doesn't that present the risk of him shining himself in the eyes with the laser or someone else as well?

At what power will Blu-Ray burn?

I had my module with a rckstr fixed driver @ 110mA and it burned no problem at all. The key is focusing the laser's beam down to a pin point. Not only do you get burning ability, but blu-ray/violet light does a fantastic job of fluorescing many surfaces. The violet light when it hits a...
