    greenie questions?

Those o-like modules have a switch already on them, theyre basically a leadlight module. To make it work in a push on-off host like the kryton groove (jayrob makes kits for these), you can bypass the switch by soldering a small bridge wire across the switch. Also the stable green point, I would...

    DX 100mw batteries

Only use one of the 10440's with a spacer. Two will fry the module! Spacers can be made with aluminum foil and electrical tape. Take aluminum foil and wrap tightly into small cylinder to the size of the battery. Then wrap it in electrical tape, leaving two ends exposed. Worked perfectly for...

    DX 100mw batteries

When you say 2-3 days, how much time are you using it during those days. Also if youre using regular AAA batteries, that would explain it, alkalines sag very quickly. Try using a lithium with a spacer (its a 10440 battery). Questions like this can be answered usually by reading the various...

    greenie questions?

Agreed on the 50mW, i had a 50mW and it was considerably brighter than my radioshack greenie that i managed to pot mod (dont ever pot mod your laser). 50mW is pleanty for night time beam brightness. IMHO i would go for 100+ mW due to the fact that you get both an excellent visible pointer at...

FDA approved 50 mW green pointer for under $200?

Re: FDA approved 50 mW green pointer for under $20 I keep hearing this stuff about all lasers over 5mW being banned, is this true? I thought it was just an issue with paypal, FDA, and DealExtreme. Ive got a couple lasers WELL over 5mW lol and i dont need someone showing up on my doorstep one...

battery choices for green laser moules?

I was using only 1 of the 10440's....im not that stupid lol. 9 Volts im sure would kill the module instantly. Also in reference to AA batteries, I guess it would work, but im not sure what kind of load those alkalines could handle. My 10440 that put out 3.6-4.2V worked at first, but then...

Laser Dazzler 500mw greenie for cops and military

Re: Laser Dazzler 500mw greenie for cops and milit ^ agreed I really dont see the point behind this, whats wrong with mace, tasers, pepper spray, etc.....I think this is a bit crazy to stun or temporarily blind someone in a confrontation. I think its a very very expensive solution to a simple...

    mWs of green

No, he bought one of the o-like modules. Unless he got a faulty module, it should be more than ample power, in most cases with those modules they are putting out a significant more amount of power than stated according to Jayrob.

    greenie questions?

I agree with lasersbee, what was the mW rating of the laser you bought? <5mW is usually the cheapest and most common, if yours was a <5mW that would explain the dimness of the beam. I would start looking into more powerful lasers if youre looking for a brighter beam. Read up on the forums...

    mWs of green

Its purely the divergence, try putting a magnifying glass in front of it....then it should have some nice burning power. Ive got the same module and experienced the same problem at first. Ive used it with a magnifying glass and haven't had a problem since.

    o-like 95-110mW Greenie (IR)

Is this a pen style laser? Also on those o-like modules, i love mine! The divergence is obviously not as good as a much more expensive laser but is not ridiculously bad. I think the beam is pretty thin actually, especially for only 66 bucks! Mine burns black items but has trouble burning...

battery choices for green laser moules?

Iv'e tried 10440's to find that they cannot handle the high amount of load that they put on the battery. So far the best result ive seen is from cr123 rechargeables i have. Anything in the 3-4.2V range would be ample to power these modules so long as they have a good mah rating.

My new RPL-450 w/3X beam expander, photos

Good heavens! That thing looks like a freaken uber laser cannon with that grip mounted on it! Nice work! Maybe some beam/dot shots when you get a chance?

    o-like 50mw, 100mw and 150mw.

yea the shipping was forever, it took mine just about 2 weeks to get to me...but it was worth the wait! This 100mW module is very bright, but i do not have a LPM to measure the output. However ive been having trouble trying to burn objects, i do not know what you guys got with your 100mW modules...

Anyone else love wating for your lasers...

now thats counting the days! im still waiting on a module from o-like i ordered about 11 days ago! I hope customs doesn't grab it!

Focus and Filter a green laser.

That 150mW module should be plenty to burn objects, have you tried it yet? A filter should have you lose 20mW or less of power (according to what Jayrob has seen). Those o-like modules sometimes come in overspec as well so if you buy a 150mW module, you may get lucky and find one that outputs...

120Mw+o-like laserpointer need some modding advice

Re: 120Mw+o-like laserpointer need some modding ad yea, one with a spacer works fine, i had that working in a couple of green leadlights i had. When it comes to spacers, i built a great spacer for mine with just aluminum foil and electrical tape ;) Wrap aluminum foil into a cylinder very...

let us know how long it lasts till the damn thing explodes lol. see if you can find out what kind of mW its putting out.

120Mw+o-like laserpointer need some modding advice

Re: 120Mw+o-like laserpointer need some modding ad Before you go about modifying or messing around with your module, I have a few suggestions. In respect to cleaning the lens, i suggest you buy a "lens pen". These are cleaning pens that are used to clean most camera lenses and whatnot...
