    FS: Aurora C6 Kits!

Hey Mohrenberg I sent you a message the other day, not sure if you got it. I'm looking to buy the "Just add diode" Kit at 1.62A. Your Paypal page shows that everything is out of stock, is that true? Looking forward to hearing back from you! David

Review: 510nm Direct Green Diodes / Build Photos (DGH-N1, DGH-N2)

I don't know why this isn't getting more attention. This is HUGE news. Not too long ago people thought that these green diodes were vaporware! This stuff is ground breaking and monumental. I love how we are getting all of these new diodes within the past few months, the Mitsubishi 635nm diodes...

    Post a picture of yourself!

Sorry if this photo is too revealing... I'm a swimmer/diver for my highschool's team.

    What's your major?

Has/is anyone on here gone to school for Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology? I am currently a senior in high school and I have started to narrow down the schools I'm looking at. But due to my grades I don't think a sole engineering program would be for me. I'm far more hands on...

Help buying Blue 1watt laser Pointer [newbie]

Re: Looking into a Blue 1watt laser Pointer You might want to change the title. It's a little miss leading... I thought you were looking into the beam of a 1watt!

It is Here.!!!!! 300mW "635nm" Mitsubishi.....

I thought that the 500mW diodes weren't available due to some QC issues? That's why RayFoss took them off their site and the Ebay auctions.

    laserpoint

"Shipped" in 24 hours. That doesn't mean it'll be at your doorstep in 24 hours. It means it goes from the supplier (laserpoint) to the post office/ups/DHL whom ever is shipping it in 24 hours. Then there's the actual wait of the shipping it self.

    Laser as animal repellent?

Get a Chris King rear hub, the freewheel buzz is VERY loud. 204 points of engagement will be enough to deter most animals.

Found Cheap Aluminum Laser Mounts for an Aixiz Module "2 For $2.20"

You shaved the module? And not the connector? How did you go about doing that? To give it a nice pressfit.

Found Cheap Aluminum Laser Mounts for an Aixiz Module "2 For $2.20"

Nice find! I just picked some up. But they are a bit smaller than the aixiz module. The OD of the module is 12mm, the ID of the aluminum connector is 11.56mm so some shaving of either the module or the connector is needed for it to fit. I'm back to high school tomorrow and I'll go to the machine...

    My first build!

I can already tell that I'll be putting a lot of money into this hobby... Why do I choose such expensive hobbies? Biking and lasers. Very addicting and very expensive. I have quiet a bit on my "to buy/make" list, 405nm diode, 10440 batteries and charger. And a host. Well it'll be worth it! What...

    My first build!

Well the battery life with 5 AA batteries is much better then expected. I've used it quiet a bit lately as it's been very foggy at night around here. And it seems just as strong as when I first built it. Still pretty stoked about it. I already have a few builds planned. I'm going to do a 405nm...

    My first build!

I have access to a lathe, just not at the moment. I spend most of my free periods in school at the machine shop, making things for my bike, now for my lasers. So I can't really see myself paying for something I can make in a few minuets. And yes, it is an lpc-815. And I'm running it at 280ma...

    My first build!

Well there are hundreds of threads like these. But I think it wouldn't hurt to have one more! After a few years of having a laser project in the back of my mind I finally got some time and built one. I'm using the standard LM317 driver. But sadly I'm powering it by 5 AA batteries. So it's a...
