OD5 is enough for 1W 445nm lasers... But im sure those goggles won't be OD5... :undecided: Look at the price... If you're looking for (cheap) working goggles; EaglePair or Dragonlaser's goggles are good

Imo you should get goggles from Dragonlasers or Survivallasers. They are both great, and work with high powered 445nms. About those two goggles, I'd take the white one. Also, diode lasers (445nm) dont produce IR light, so you wont need IR -protecting goggles

When you buy cheapy goggles its like lottery... sometimes you get good goggles, but usually not. I wouldnt personally buy those goggles.. I myself have goggles from Dragonlasers., and they work really well. Laser Safety :: Dragon Lasers :huh: Yes you can watch the beam as much as you want...

Well, that red laser would be way more visible than that violet. Also it would burn 2x better You could see the beam of the violet laser, but not very well afaik. But some people think that violet color is cooler than red... Its up to you...
