    some statistics from projector diodes

That's nothing compared to Bluefans bench. The Oscilloscope alone is probably over $10k. I think thats probably his work office bench, or a university lab.

Any recomendation of a kit and host?

    Need help Swapping a 650nm for 685nm

I have ordered a 30mw 685nm diode off ebay. I am looking for an easy way to make it into a laser. Is there a cheap 650nm laser where I can just swap the 650 with the 685 diode easily? I'm a am new to this and I'd rather not build a whole laser one piece at a time.

    BLUE BLUE BLUE! (445, 473, 488nm)

473nm and 488nm look like you peeled off a piece of the sky.

    CNI 450nm laser pointer

O-like sells that diode, so it is likly in their pointer. OSRAM 450nm 50-80mW blue laser diode /Single mode/round dot [OL-450-50] - $79.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce It just says Osram, but the specs match that diode. Yeah I guess I'm making a few assumptions so I can onlysay it...

The O-like site is down. Here is the Osram stats. Powered by Google Docs

    5mW 445nm Pointers from eBay

Blue Ray= 405nm or maybe 404nm. Anyone who tells you otherwise made a typo.

    CNI 450nm laser pointer

It most likely uses the OSRAM PL 450 diode just like the O-Like 450 50mw laser. These appear to have dropped in price, and they may now be in mass production, If anyone knows the story feel free to share it.

    O-like GB feeler (50mW 450nm single mode)

I just ordered it, or I'd be in.

First test on a DIY 40W CO2 laser

I agree you have to start somwhere. Are you going to make your own atoms? Diodes and glass tubes are made by $1 million machines at factories. It isn't worth it to make just one and that's why nobody does.

Anyone have an O-Like 50mw 450nm laser pen

This uses the OSRAM PL 450 diode. I think it's a second generation Osram 450 diode that replaces the PLT4NSB.

Commercial 5W 450nm LD on the Horizon?

Thats scary, where can you point that at without starting a fire or blinding someone? I'd rather just have a gun for self defense. Leave this one for industrial applications only.

Anyone have an O-Like 50mw 450nm laser pen

This is a 450nm diode and not a 445nm diode which has a higher minimum current. I got them confused. I will post a review when I get this laser. Here is a list of visible diodes I found on another thread.

Anyone have an O-Like 50mw 450nm laser pen

Hi this is my first post but I have been lurking for a while now. I am thinking of getting this laser. 50mW 450nm laser pen /single mode/round dot [OL-450-50P] - $82.00 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce Does anyone have it and know if it works. I have heard that the 450 diodes are unstable...
