Re: An easy cheap pointer to blue laser conversion Also it isn't blue or even blu-ray. The most popular PHR 803T is from an HD-DVD drive. We just like calling it blu-ray because it sounds cool and it is easy to remember.

lol! But true! I'll burn whatever I fell like... One day balloons, another day matches and then plastic! It even burned a hole through a CD and it's case.

2mW doesn't make much of a difference when it comes to brightness... I would get the Lyra C5 or the Galileo. The Galileo is the best because of its size, the clicky switch and lots of heat sinking so it is a very stable laser. It is also focusable.
