    WL Googles

Sick and tired of BS and misinformation Tired of it all so I went and restested a brand new pair of WL lasershades for red - brand new out of the package. I do not have the proper equipment to precisely measure OD, but I daresay my equipment and methods are gunna provide you with far more...

    WL Googles

Why is it it seems my posts always get ignored? Same stuff seems to happen when I talk about scammers and all. The more thought and logic I put into a post, the more it gets looked over. Almost as if the details are just too upsetting to have to listen to. "You want the truth?! you can't handle...

    WTC: Sabotage? Conspiracy? Neither?

Not quite. If the elevator falls too fast, the pulley at the top is designed to stop it and the subsequent tension in the cable can invoke catches. However if the cable is directly severed, all hell breaks loose. Maybe some modern elevators have alternate safeguards, but from what I've read (and...

    WL Googles

Just IMO, but if you would have bought the sport elite noir goggles from WL, you would have made a very poor choice. The lasershades provide much better protection due to the fact you can actually use your laser whilst wearing them. I have a picture somewhere of a 150mW red shining into a camera...

    WL Googles

Electron, other than the fact that they are not certified, what is your beef with the lasershades? As I have said several times before - I own numerous pairs and types of goggles from WL, to NoIR, etc. Almost always, I use my lasershades over the NoIRs. They simply are superior goggles for the...

    Best 2-300mw laser around $700?

I'll have some Prometheus 300mW+ (RPL-style lasers) in shortly. Price will be roughly around $700. PM me if interested ;) About the tailcap, when I first set out to buy an RPL it seemed like an obvious choice - either you can change power, or you can't... duh! I've since come to love the...

Is vega more stable than regular yellow laser?

I've only had one but it wasn't too good either. It actually was a bit more stable than the pen ones (which I've had quite a few of), but its such an inherently unstable process (ie, requires a lot of stabilization) so its pretty insane to try to stick them into a portable where you can't supply...

    WTB:  An IR filter

Re: WTB:  An IR filter If you're in the US, I'll sell you a Coherent brand 1cm square one for $16 shipped.

    Thinking about 473

I gotta say I am not too impressed with lasever. I sold two blue modules and a red one that were pretty decent (shrecken's 100mW 473nm, a 50mW blue, and a 800mW 660nm), but that's it. I have two lasever green modules right now - both in a horrible state of disrepair. Very poor quality even on...

    StoneTek Wicked Lasershades

+1 Can't go wrong with the quality of the goggles, and especially can't go wrong with the price. Perhaps not big-brand goggles, but they're tried-and-true protection for a fraction of the cost :). For my own use, I have more types of goggles than I feel like counting, but I still normally reach...

    a new laser community?

I've heard similar news from people I'd assume are 'in the know'. I'm not gunna write this off just yet - I used to be pretty active on LC, and if it could get back to how it used to be, I'd go back again. That said, I've been let down by WL in the past, so I'm not getting high hopes just yet!

WTB: Green laser 100mW+  around 125$

Re: WTB: Green laser 100mW+  aroudn 80$ sorry man, but 100mW for $80 is jsut asking too much :-/. Either up your budget, or lower your expectations.

    many new products at CNI

Well, if you try buying a single unit - $100 for shipping, $40 to send a wire transfer, needing the equipment to test the lasers and then preparing for RMA costs if theres a problem, and being willing front the bill if customs snags them... etc. It all tends to add up. If you're purchasing a lab...

Tripe Color (Dual color) Laser pointer

Interesting idea, but the IR in one of those diodes is 780nm - insufficient for pumping a Nd:YVO4

    Wicked GB (10% off): FEELER

If shipping is the problem on the WL goggles, I'm offering them for $40 shipped to the US - inquire for international shipping.

    Measure mW

Nah, sorry man: its expensive laser power meter or bust
  17. P

Is there any reason this won't work?

Is there any chance of using some sort of regulator? Driving a diode directly like that is never the best idea - either you'll be overdriving it on the high end of battery charge, or underdriving it on the low end (or both!). With a regulator you could stop worry about the cap, and your output...

    Thinking about 473

Shameless plug: If you're interested, I can sell you an Oceanus (RPL-equivalent) laser at a good discount. You get a high quality, good beam-spec unit without having to deal with the BS of DragonLasers at a decent price too. If you're interested, send me a PM, e-mail at pseudonomen137@gmail.com...

    many new products at CNI

They're actually not that rare, but you wouldn't hear about them amongst our hobbyist community. You know how we love to deal absolutely bottom dollar with no thought of quality. None of us are the type that would ever splurge on a 671nm DPSS, whereas a professional lasershow company would...

Looking to buy any broken, green or blue laser.

Re: Looking to buy any broken, green or blue laser Damn vic, you sure are a stubborn one! :P Well, if you wanna waste your own money that's your business. I've told you how it is a good 3-5 times now. If you wanna believe that sheer stubbornness will change the facts of life, all I can say is...
