A green 100mw is pretty darn far... I've heard stories of people going to the mountains in CO and putting the laser on a tripod and shining it towards their friends on another mountain a few miles away, and remember them saying that the dot was HUGE. ;D Urban legend? Myth? I'll never know...

Everytime I'm on laserchat there are usually 3-10 people. Maybe they are hiding from you rog... ::)

Be careful and don't blind yourself or others is the main tip. Be responsible with it, no pointing at airplanes, people, cars etc... Be ready to see probably the coolest thing ever = a green beam. ;D

lol, You have to see how idiot proof I made my circuit. I'll put a picture of it up tomorrow. Unfortunately my mulitmeter broke, so I am unable to test it out for fear of overdriving and killing the diode. I'm exchanging it tomorrow, so I should hopefully have a running bluray by tomorrow...

yeah, it should be very easy. measure the voltage their giving the LED, if its b'n 2.5-4 volts you can get a $5 aixiz module and put it in. Should be ~4-5mw.

I've tried it with a 9v DC 500ma transformer, a 9v AC 200ma transformer I ran thru a bridge, a 12v computer power supply, a 12v car battery charger, and a self built 12v DC transformer, many 9V batteries, and 3xCR123's. All eventually drop off. I have also rebuilt the circuit. Much neater...
