The datasheet and part number you linked is for the 130mw single mode Sharp, 270ma operating current. It's the GH0523AD2G that is rated at 500ma typical and is falsley advertised as single mode by a few sellers. Is the divergence at least better than the 7475? A comparison shot would be great!

Hi @Dusty_Lenses, How'd you go finding a high current small boost driver? Honestly all the suggestions here are for drivers designed for LED's. Especially for something like a NUBM44 I wouldn't be trusting some random $5 driver that claims to have current regulation. I've been out of the game...

Stick your pp in liquid nitrogen. It will shrink and so does a laser diodes wavelength when cooled.

Oh you're right! Just looked at the listing more closely and indeed Lasertree show a dual diode diagram on the pin out despite the misleading image of a single square beam output.

Bear in mind the 300mw Sharp diode's may be rated for the same divergence as their single mode diodes (θ// 7° , θ⊥ 23°), but it is still a multimode diode. The field patterns clearly show how much difference there really is as far as the beam characteristics. GH05280E2KC_Green-LaserDiode 80mw...

According to the photos and the datasheet supplied it's not. I've only seen the tri-beam monstrosity before. I'm more inclined to be skeptical and assume that you're right. But if the datasheet is actually accurate then that's way more interesting. Do you have a data sheet or links to support...

The Emisar Ti lights are great but they don't compare with how iconic the Jetlaser Ti-B is. I've had my empty Ti-B sitting here since 2014 just waiting for some attention, maybe it's time I did something with it ; )

Have you tried focus stacking?! Especially with a dead spider or insect it would be much easier to get multiple shots at different focus in order to blend them together :beer:
