    Mobile layout

Personally if you wanted to go mobile why not use tapatalk? Back in the day there was a time when LPF supported tapatalk, but no more. I know there was a security issue of some kind but why couldn't that be easily rectified? Tapatalk is just such a better solution than the current mobile LPF...

FS: CUSTOM 2x 18650 HOST, RED POWDER COAT, 5A SWITCH

Buy them up guys. I kid you not, the fit and finish on these hosts are absolutely flawless.

FOR SALE: Going going gone sale!!!

Re: FS: Flashlights, Lasers, Custom Hosts, PBS Cube & Optics w/ mounts ADDED Those are beautiful lasers but IMO you should put a price on each of them. It saves a lot of time that would be wasted with PM's back and forth between potential buyers and the seller trying to decide what a fair price...

    Real or fake CREE LED?

I have never seen nor heard of fake cree XM-L LEDs before. Whose to say your manufacturer has any idea whether or not these supposed 'fake' XML leds are indeed as unauthentic as they claim? If you are referring to the images you linked to then the only difference is the first led is an xm-l2...

    Missing or absent Members List

He didn't have any certain disagreements between others if that's what you're referring to, (as far as I know, did something actually happen?) if an accident like that happened to me I would probably throw in the towel and give up on the hobby. I thoroughly enjoy the laser hobby but it is...

    Flashlight optics and reflectors.

Definitely use thermal compound. If for whatever reason you want to remove the MCPCB you're not gonna get very far with it glued in there... If you are referring to Arctic Alumina thermal compound then I have no clue what the differences are. Mechanics Solder Paste - 63/37 - 36g It is an...

In Stock : 3-3.5Watt 445nm Copper Dominator, 2x26650 blue laser.

Re: For sale: 3+Watt Copper Dominator, 2x26650 blue laser. Yep :) Member Th3dArKn3o CNC machines them to precision, according to post #21. Not sure if it's the same bloke who still does it.

    Battery Level and Laser Performance

Obtaining quality brand name cells from a reputable seller is a good starting point. I have not heard of Battery World before but I do know that the ebay seller supersports600 supplies genuine AW cells. AW 18350 IMR Li-Mn 3.7v. They are quite expensive compared to their retail value, but at...

    eBay Australia liable?

Sounds like the batteries are kaput. Buy this and this. I know that it's ridiculous that Australians have to spend over 50 bucks to get a decent charger and batteries locally, but unfortunately that's the reality. If those batteries don't fix the problem then your laser is malfunctioning.
  10. dubious speculation

    Flashlight optics and reflectors.

Thermal runaway does not apply in this situation, since the LED can only draw as much current as the cell can provide. Which in this case is limited by the vf (operating voltage) of the LED. Further to this, the cell will have significant voltage sag, especially under high currents, which in...

    Flashlight optics and reflectors.

That's exactly what it does. That's why it's essential for the LED to be on a DTP (Direct Thermal Path) copper MCPCB. An XP-G2 will not gain in output above ~2.2 amps on a normal Aluminium MCPCB with a dielectric layer underneath the LED. However, an XP-G2 will increase in output right up until...

    Flashlight optics and reflectors.

Your response: A conveyance of utter indifference to the initial interpretation put forth, merely a statement so devoid of humour, by its very nature seemed bloody hilarious. Love it ;) Finally someone gives the bloke a piece of practical advice :D @thestug. Follow Mr. Cyparagon's advice and...

445 9mm diode, Laser Protection Goggles, and 5.6mm copper modules

Re: Adam's Leaving Lasers Sale I'm here ;) Honestly, if I saw this thread sooner I would've bought the lot  Usually that's not the problem. The Australian dollar has been plummeting like a rock and paypals exchange rate is much worse. To purchase goods outside of aus it means that...

    Most powerful green handheld?

Those calculations are often wildely inaccurate, (especially towards the violet end of the spectrum). Please post beam shots when you receive it ;)

    eBay Australia liable?

If you are prepared to potentially waste 100 bucks then I say go for it. There is no guarantee that it will last even a few days, but then again it's not impossible that it will live a long and happy life. When you are prepared to invest in a few hundred dollars more I highly suggest building...

The " Cyan Cannon " build starts

It will be utterly stunning to see the finished product! I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to witness the makings of a masterpiece unfold :)

FS: New Pen Host Kits! Switch board with Spring Option - Nice!

No, this was way back in August. I emailed him to ask whether he had any chrome pens in stock. He said he does but I didn't email him back after that.
