    FS: Sold

Re: FS: 495nm drop-in module @ 120mW I wired them up myself, but I think I damaged the driver accidentally running it without load. I have also taken to soldering a diode mount to the driver: I haven't lost a diode to construction since. If you have the couple millimeters to spare, it can...

    FS: Sold

Re: FS: 495nm drop-in module @ 120mW I recently put one of these diodes together, and it is just about my ideal wavelength, clearly neither blue nor green. I went through a lot of trouble to get the driver attached, including accidentally frying one of the drivers setting the current. Having...

Indigo Imperator - A 6500 mW 450nm Optical Corrected Monster With Thorlabs 3x BE

This is just the type of content that we all love. You have given us inspiration, as well as drool... Keep up the machining and the imagination.

    sell !!510nm sharp laser diode!!

Do you know which model of diode is in it? If you got it from DTR, it is a SB147EC91 and about 510nm. If it is a SB1473N91 or SB1573N91, it is about 503nm.

( Two Laser Diode Combining About )

Do you have any details of which diodes these are? I am very doubtful they are actually 15W, as the most powerful visible single diodes are in the 7-8W range. However, you can indeed combine the beams. If they are of different wavelengths, you can find a piece of dichroic glass which will...

Sharp GH04955A2G/ The New 495nm diodes

I use that lens for all of my lower power greenish builds. They are better for the divergence than a G2, but obviously don't transmit quite as much light. I would say anything above ~470nm would be a good candidate (I don't have the numbers on the AR coating).

    Two Lasers 589 30mW, 450nm 3700mW

Who ever gets to your 589 first is a lucky person. There was one of the first yellows I had seen in a while up a few weeks ago and it went for more than you're asking now. Better to own it than regret not!

    Sanwu pocket 505nm

The one I got from him was an SB147EC91, which was the longer wavelength version around 510nm. The other, the SB1473N91/SB1573N91 is the shorter of the two at about ~502nm.

This will keep you up all night!

I have seen something similar before. Not commenting on this particular implementation, but you CAN use very tiny capacitors attached to the LEDs. Based on the capacitor and the LED leads acting as antenna, you can create lights that draw power from different radio frequencies in an LRC circuit...

    Two Lasers 589 30mW, 450nm 3700mW

I have one of those 589nm's. Not only is the color gorgeous, but you get to brag that you have one of the rarest and coolest lasers around. Whomever gets it will surely appreciate the photonic alchemy going on in its crystals. Plus, it's got a tiny divergence, being a DPSS.

Sharp GH04955A2G/ The New 495nm diodes

I too am surprised at it's output. I think I'm going to run mine with a Nanodrive (DTR Link). That driver at 350mA would be the most I would recommend. I'm probably going to be using the 275mA setting. That doesn't sacrifice too much power. It'll be on the safe side, and I want it for the color...

    Question regarding IR Filter

Generally, you get a problem with no IR filter on a DPSS-type laser. These use a powerful infrared laser diode shined through a crystal. This is a special material which lets two photons of low energy infrared light at 1064nm combine to form one photon of higher energy 532nm green. A lot of it...

    WTB: 445nm 6/7W laser

I agree. If you can get it, that particular build is the best deal you'll find. The hosts of his I have are great, and that is a super fair price. The other option being to buy a host from Survival Laser or another suitable host like this one from Ricker and build it yourself. But that would...

    505nm and 480nm diode RESULTS

I have used two of the Blitz Linears on a pair of SB1573N91 and have found them a bit annoying, but not terribly so. The hardest part of using them is soldering to the pads (no through holes is a pain) or the tiny bridge to get into low current mode. They are alright. Given they are the only...

    Sale thread/ Hosts/Heat Sinks/Focus adapters/lasers

I have never seen that little beam expander. It goes so wonderfully with that pen. I would probably be interested in some sort of collar similar to that for some of the beam expander options out there. I wonder if anyone else might like some attachments like this? Remind me, is the NDG7875 a...

Budget, tested laser safety goggles. OD 5+

I am always glad to see options and data. I wonder, though, why does it seem difficult to get a good blue lens to block things above the low-600's? I have tested a few of the cheap ones and they do worse than nothing: they deceive people into thinking they're safe. I'm glad you've listed the OD...

New to forums - Computer Science student interested in lasers

I would not be worried, especially for a company with a solid reputation like them. Likely it comes from the fact that it is often more expensive to ship with a tracking number than without. It does feel annoying, yes, but I don't think it's anything shady.

Any interest in a DL 589?

These are a tricky process for producing the yellow photons indeed. Being such a sleek and tough unit too makes it one of my favorites. I think that 400 is certainly not unreasonable, especially for the proven-and-quick aspect. Good luck with the sale! If I didn't already have one of these...

anyone owning a 1 watt + HH laser, long distance beam profile ?

I've found the lower divergence and round spot of a single mode like the bdr-209 with a 3-element lens will make it burn better than a multimode 1W+. Just goes to show that the application is important in choosing the specs and that power isn't everything.

anyone owning a 1 watt + HH laser, long distance beam profile ?

There are many setups out there that are very different. The reason we were asking for more specifics is that without knowing which diode or lenses you are interested in, the answer will vary widely. For example, a single-mode laser diode will have a much smaller spot at a distance because it...
