    Potentially Restarting driver production

What would be the max amperage I could get using one of your boosts and a single E-Fest 14500 800mAh High Drain?

Assault Phaser Host with Swapable Diode Cartridges

Well a Wand Phaser is on the way to me in the mail. I also see DTR has NUBM06s again.

Why is no one talking about this? US pushing Russia/middle east towards war

Islam is going through a MAJOR schism. On one side your have "moderate/non-fundamentalist" Islamists that are not willing to be violent to support their "Religion" On the other you have people willing to be violent. In Spite of the non-violent Islamists being the "vast" majority they are...

    Potentially Restarting driver production

I would like to see more external pot adjustable drivers available. Specifically a compact, boost driver with an external pot adjustment.

    Space Discussion Thread

I think the idea is to give "Space Tourists" the warm and fuzzies about going into space. For serious work (cargo/people not just visiting) it is worth it to shed the weight of the extra safety systems.

    Ebay "605nm" laser pen.

CLEARANCE Sale Powerful 5mW 605nm Red Beam Laser Pointer Pen Light Toys Xmas | eBay I was thinking about adding it to my collection if it is indeed 605nm. I suspect it is a dyslexic 650nm...

What is the most powerful laser I can get?

You say 20 Watts. I missed that, but I'll field it. First of all keep in mind all the safety issues that were mentioned still apply and even more so. A rout to 20+ Watts that I am looking at is using several types of optical devices to combine visible beams. When you learn more these little...

What is the most powerful laser I can get?

I would also highly recommend full wrap or full goggle (no light leaks) safety goggles for anything over 1 watt. I have a pair of cheap china "steampunk" goggles that I modified with foam and lenses that I cut from rated glasses. Just splash from 2 Watts of 445nm starts to make my eyes feel...

What is the most powerful laser I can get?

I'm a 33 year old, disabled veteran, gunsmith and ammunition manufacturer. A. I had been using Class IV lasers (1 watt and under) for 2 years before I decided I wanted more power. B. I bought a 2 ish watt M140 based host and it frightened me a bit. Not out of safety/handling issues but simply...

    "Bug Zapper" 405nm 700mw

1 watt should be more than enough to fry bugs especially with them being targeted one at a time. The 405nm diodes are single mode with outstanding divergence compared with the 445s. Also a 445 of 3-7 watts has more potential for causing "collateral damage" while it fries bugs. Though I...

Proper 16340 Batteries for my 445nm 4W Laser

You can scroll down a bit tell you see this search bar. Type in your query for about anything laser or battery related and you can find the answer. The built in forum search doesn't work very well. To answer your question directly. Efest 16340s are a good value. The AW 16340s are...

Some stuff from NASA JPL Eagleworks http://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/20140000851.pdf There is also 1950s tech that would have done the same thing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Orion_(nuclear_propulsion) In fact a NASA team keeps the Orion tech alive...

It's simply the law of diminishing returns vs design cost. If you save enough with a reusable rocket to pay for the added fuel and build cost, then it works. The fact that they abandoned using a reusable second stage at least shows me they are not locked to the concept if it doesn't work...

Side Clicky 14500 (2x14250) Flashlight Host

That is what I was figuring. I don't mind waiting on DTR to get things in stock, he may have just got a part in stock that I need for my first build. This is just a side project I'm toying with. Maybe a matched set of 1w red, blue, violet and green would be neat to add to the collection at some...

    Space Discussion Thread

I have heard variations on that idea. My opinion is this. Living in space is the ultimate in resource management. You want as close to a "closed loop" system as possible so you don't need to bring as much with you. This leads to better recycling practices. When you "land" on something "rock...

Side Clicky 14500 (2x14250) Flashlight Host

DTR offers at least 2 that even have adjustable pots. A 10sec/1min cycle is more than enough of a duty cycle for my needs.

Side Clicky 14500 (2x14250) Flashlight Host

Thanks, that was about what I figured. Would that also make a NDG700 700mW 520nm diode another option? That would be a lot of green in a tiny package.

Side Clicky 14500 (2x14250) Flashlight Host

I had no intention of using 2x14250s to push the red, I know the 14500s are the way to go there. My question was if there would be more power hungry diodes that would run on 2x14250s but couldn't run on a 14500. Excluding the limited runtime/capacity issues. I'll look into that ML501P73.
