Hey Low-Q, like everyone else is saying i'd go with the LaserBee I, I got mine a month or so ago and it's great, easy to use, you can get them with data logging and it'll work with your red green and blu lasers ;)

226mW thats still a lot of power after a plastic lens.
The caps are just the small red rings of a shots, I had them from when I was a kid, you just load them in the cap gun and when they fire you get a bang and a puff of smoke...

your right though it is a strange glow the white light of the envlope almost makes the laser seem torch like.
