    Lpc-826

Update: I found these for only 13 dollars here: LPC-826 laser diode 650-660nm 250-300mW [M0023] - $12.99 : Modwerx Shop vs the lpc-815 which is about 11 dollars from hightechdealz. Ill pay the extra 2 dollars at some point to have a go with this diode.

Smallest 635nm Pointer -- New Picture Added!

I will have to make a 635nm at some point, they look awesome, who cares if they cant burn, I like the idea of a unique wavelength

    First Working Red Build

Thats like how my luck with lasers is man! I made a lm317 driver, did everything right, heatsinked it, and tested current before use on a diode, hooked it to a diode, and it was instant LED, did the same to a second. I then made a PHR, to find out the micro boost was half dead and killed it. I...

Custom Gray Hotlights PHR-803T LMS1587 Driver *PIC HEAVY*

Re: Custom Gray Hotlights PHR-803T *PIC HEAVY* Sweet build. I cant wait till I get my first PHR working.

    12X 700mW with a microboost in a random host!!

Awesome build! Ill make a 12x eventually, but 3 builds are coming before that, PHR, and 250mW red (Probably going to use a LPC) One thing, which is well worth doing. Many people dont, it helps me get 1:20 minutes out of my 1.2W in an aurora host vs 45 seconds. Just stick thermal paste between...

    PHR-805 405nm diodes, replace PHR-803t's

Nice find. These are almost like the 6x blue rays. Much cheaper too. I will still use a PHR-803t for my coming build, but I will surely use this for the next for an extra 50mW over the 100 from the PHR-803t at 100ma

    445 1w Lights Candle :)

I would like to see that too. I have lit wood chips (about 3 times wider than a match stick) with me 1W 445nm. But have not been able to light a candle with my 1W as it just cuts the wick and smokes a lot

    O-like 12x Bluray SF 512 sled diode = 600mW!

Sweet review, I plan to get one of these sleds eventually.

    Rayfoss waterproof red issues

Thanks for letting us know. I might get this laser soon, and its nice to know the fix to a simple but rare problem

    1-1.2 watt 445nm lasers

I need a LPM, I want to check mine. Any ideas on where to get a cheap LPM? like 20 dollars and under? I need one for my red and PHR I am soon building also

    Powering lm317 driver with a 12v 1a wallwort?

Well, I have it on a heatsink, and nothing gets warm. My wall transformer outputs 18 volts, but with little effort, it drops to its 12. Still though, the lm317 can take on up to 30 volts, and output the same.

Which of these designs do you like best?

Yes, What I ended up doing, was having to make the wires going to the diode longer. So I hot glued over where the two wires met so it wouldnt short on the host. I just soldered the sires to the diode, and left it how it was. I would rather the wires break off the diode leads then way inside that...

Which of these designs do you like best?

Heh, this makes me remember when I used to solder with that thick pure silver pipe solder. Not the stuff with the acid, but still was pipe solder. Wow, I remember my soldering jobs then, with a soldering gun, not iron. Now a few months later, with JBTM and GBD, my skills with rosin core solder...

Which of these designs do you like best?

I thought you made your own drivers, not used buck and boost. Can you post pictures of your homemade drivers?

    Powering lm317 driver with a 12v 1a wallwort?

I dont get it though, the lm317 can handle up to 30 (well, 35 it begins to fail). According to what it does, you should be able to feed the regulator with 30 volts and it would output the same as it would with 7.4 Instead of using a TVS diode, can I use a 12v 1W zener diode? Those should be...

    Powering lm317 driver with a 12v 1a wallwort?

I made 2 lm317 drivers now, both duds. I had one here, I was inputting 12 volts, with 4,700uF smoothing. I had a nice 25 turn, 20 ohm trimpot to adjust power, a 1n4001 diode and capacitor on the out as the schematic said. I hooked it up to my LPC-815, for it to make a dim red glow at 50ma, so I...

looks like quite a build! Wow, those boards sure have a lot of trimpots

    american_lasers on ebay?

I bought 532-405nm goggles from him, thay work well. But, before I bought his "250mW" red laser diode which died in a week at 295ma, when recogmended was 300ma. I think its 150mW CW and 250mW pulsed

    1W yobresal laser

Yes, thats what I thought, but I knew it wasnt that big. Well, my next build is PHR, than I repair my 250mW red, and then maybe do a 12X violet

    1W yobresal laser

Thanks. I thought it was a good price also, considering I could build one for only $20 less and risk my clumsy self killing a 50 dollar diode and 30 dollar driver. I dont know the divergence. And wouldn't it matter how I have it focused to create an accurate answer? Well, I will be making a...
