Lasers are not classified as a weapon now, but i think it'll change in the future, governments want to put their filthy hands everywhere. For me none laser is dangerous itself, dangerous are people who do not use them accordingly.

Why there is a tendency to put a switch at the end? This is very inconvenient. Switch should be quickly accessible. For example I haven't seen any torch made like that.

Just wondering. Apart from yellow laser, 1mW of 532nm laser costs far more than any other. And green lasers above 500mW are very expensive. Is it so because green diodes cost far more? :yh:

I registered to download lite version 24h ago but still no dowload link came to my mail....

General rule is that if you have laser with X wavelength , googles with X+ s (where s is no more than 50) will be good. But it doesn't work backwards, for example if you have 808nm laser you can't use 650nm googles.

I have a question , is it dangerous to look at the end of beam of the laser without googles ? If yes, how to calculate (basing on laser power) at what distance is it safe?

What color? What should be minimum width of beam to be effective? Surely laser visibility is lower in daylight. If anyone has experience in this matter, I would be grateful for answers. Jeremy
