Yeah, a UMD drive is just a miniature DVD drive, and since it's just a reader, it's most likely ~1mW. Also, take that $20 and buy one of the group buy diodes! ;D

I suggest you get something lower powered, and prove to them that you are responsible, then maybe you can convince them to get it.

Does anyone know how long AirMail takes for the US, they say two weeks, but I doubt that, I bet it's more like nine days or so.

Perhaps some huge discount? That would explain how they can ship a $1 product free to anywhere in the world.
