Yes, this chart from aliexpress does no look like charts in N. datasheets... I can do such thing in excel, too.

For me waveplate is only important when I combine 2 single beams (single- or multimode) of perfect shape and want to keep the shape of the combined beam so. But for pretty loosy beam-packs of these NUBM3x MDPs presence of costly waveplates would not do much of improvement.

Even if I would need 10, I would not buy them from a cheap supplier. Indeed I ordered 2 cubes from aliexpress: one cheap (less than 100eur) and one expensive (more than 100eur) in order to compare them. Strangely, the cheap one has arrived faster.
