    Argon-Ion laser stuff.

Update.. the SP 261/161 system does still work. Puts out about 35mW @10A (assuming the amp meter on the panel is accurate. The other problems listed are still applicable though.. head needs a new rear panel fabricated, and light control is non-functional. It just pegs the meter when you...

    Argon-Ion laser stuff.

I should also add that if anyone is willing to come actually pick the stuff up without me having to ship it.. 'free' is an acceptable price.. If I have to box and ship things though, i'd just like enough of an offer to make doing it worth my time.

    Argon-Ion laser stuff.

This is is all that remains of my argon-ion collection. I sold off most of the working stuff long ago, but i'm trying to get rid of the majority of stuff I don't really need so I can move in a few months time. Anyway. Here's the list, and pictures. Make an offer on anything you're interested...

Completely OFF Topic... For RC Enthusiasts..

I've done the 'take it apart to restore then run out of money in the middle' part.

    1.4W Qumefox Sipik HK21 18650 Host

Fine, i'll bump it then. :na: I'll hopefully have a few more of these hosts available before too much longer. And possibly a couple more complete lasers for sale as well. Just now finally able to sort of get back into the swing of thing laser wise again.. had too much life piled on me for...

    Best Lens for LPC-826 diode?

Sorry.. life hasn't let me deal with lasers much lately, especially financially. I also am unfortunately pretty much out of everything laser related that I was selling. Things got to the point where I had to use 'laser money' to pay bills, and therefor couldn't reorder stuff.

    Not exactly laser related but...

Heh.. Well, unfortunately, it looks like what I currently have of it, is all i'll ever have. I was kind of contemplating attempting a restore, but with the starball and other major pieces missing, that's not going to happen. I don't have that kind of budget.

    Not exactly laser related but...

I used it as part of a render farm for a while just playing around, but while it was badass for 1998, (16x MIPS R14k 400mhz') Now days, it made a better heater than anything else (ran off a 220v 40A circuit and *needed* it.) I finally ended up parting it out and just keeping the rack/skins...

    Not exactly laser related but...

Well the thing as is weighs like ~200lbs or so.. I would hardly call it portable. More than likely i'll dismantle it, pull the planetary assembly off (the coolest looking part) and just keep it around as a conversation piece. Maybe hang it from the ceiling or something. The A-3-P is about the...

    Not exactly laser related but...

Bingo.. It's a Spitz A-3-P planetarium projector. I'm hoping they at least find the dome and arc lamp assembly for me, but I don't have high hopes. Though even if I get more parts, still don't know what i'm going to do with it. The zenith/compass point projectors are still there, as is all...

    Not exactly laser related but...

Yes, but that that's not the hard to identify item heh. Yes it is, though it's not a telescope. But it is used for viewing stars and other celestial objects.

    Not exactly laser related but...

Lol. Last I checked those didn't involve optics or light. I'd give you a hint but I can't think of any that couldn't be googled for the answer in like two seconds. I will say this one was made in the 60's.. and is missing it's upper dome though. And how I found it is that I deal with a local...

Amateur Astronomers Flash the Space Station with 1W Blue Laser

at that distance, a 'slightly' brighter blue dot.
  15. qumefox

    Not exactly laser related but...

It does involve light and optics.. I saved it from the scrap heap today, and hopefully soon they'll find more parts of it for me. 100 internets to anyone who can guess what it is. and 1000 internets to anyone who wins the first 100, then can suggest a cool way to repurpose it. heh...

JSD Uniphase 2214 argon-ion 488nm single line system for sale

Yeah that laser was sold almost 2 years ago. However i'm in the middle of a housecleaning and will be offering up all the argon-ion stuff I have left shortly. Most of it is bits and pieces but do have a spectra physics 161 single line system that works, it just needs a bit of metalwork to make a...

If you've been looking for a GreeNe, read this.

For one. Direct green diodes only recently (within the last few months) became available. Secondly, the DG's are still >520nm where the green HeNe's are 543nm. The only other alternative is 532nm DPSS, which.. still looks different than 543nm. Another thing is.. there's more to life than...

    Any info about this diode?

Like I said, these aren't really worth doing more than just playing with. And I believe the 660nm pins will be ones in the middle on the very ends. This module will also have the 780nm die in it as well. Also if you still have the square lens attached to the front, this is actually some type...

    B&W Tek BWB-10-OEM - 473nm 10mW

Actually this isn't true. The fluorescence head on these isn't made to combine wavelengths. What it does is send all the 473nm out the end of the probe, and doesn't let much of it reflect back. The other fiber connection is meant to attach to a spectrometer, not another laser. the 473nm...
