This exactly! It's what I tell ANYONE, regardless of age, before I put one of my lasers in their hands. Granted, I don't hand over my lasers to just anyone, but I damned well do make sure they understand that IT IS A WEAPON, just as surely as a firearm is. -G

Just from looking at the pic, I'd say the + in the bottom right corner is Vin, and it's for case negative diodes, so the host/diode can would be V-. -G

Well...finished the epoxy pour for batt tube, and got the positive spring in the bottom of it. I gotta admit, I wasn't sure how the epoxy was gonna work out, but it seems to be the shizzle for limited space builds. Electronics will be mounted soon.

Yes it is by design that the beam is diffused. It makes it easier to see the fault if the beam is bouncing around inside the fiber, so it can exit the fault easier. -G
