A good long open can diode can be found in the Sony NEC Optiarc AD-7190A 20x burner. I have harvested 3 of these so far, the last one I pushed to 500ma @ 7.4 volts! It only lasted a few weeks, but it put my Dilda to shame.

Has anyone used the three element AR coated glass lenses that Junktronix sells? Any data on how they compare with an Axiz acrylic or glass?

It was the positive pin, it broke off flush w/ the diode. Micro soldering?
