Ahhh I really hope so! It seems that high powered diodes are being used either for projectors or engravers, both of which don't mind the high divergence. The engravers just used the focal point and the diodes don't need low divergence either. But one can hope!

Yeah I just assembled it. The diode is dead :(. But I think the driver is working fine. I decided to change the old leads and it sooooo hard to soldier the positive output and the negative output without having them soldiered together. I hope that I didn't damage the driver with the heat. I...

I see. I am just not sure what to use with my upcoming 44. 3E sounds like a big waste of output, and the G2 won't do a decent beam profile. How was the barrel length when using it with a focus adapter?

Hi Paul, Did you get a chance to test their G7? I assume u got it in 7mm. Is it too short for a focus adapter? I mean where u able to catch enough turns for different focal points/infinity. Cheers

Here's a photo I thought was cool of a build really dear to me, 9mm/stock lens in a Bigboy host from a GB. The heatsink was made by Eud. I built this laser with my dad and it reminds me of him. We built it in 2013 I think and the diode is still going strong after 5 years of usage. What a diode.

Host looks sick, and I love the fact that it was machined with the beam expander in mind. Honestly with the power getting higher and the divergence getting wider a beam expander threading should be a standard in making hosts/heatsinks.
