I have a scientech 365. It normally shows a peak power for a split second before the diodes begin to heat and the power slowly drops. On the 50% setting it flashed over 8W. Neither 8W nor 17W is an amount that I want to leave on the sensor for more than a second. I don't have a multi-meter, sorry.

Got my replacement demon and it works correctly. Meter shows 17W at first and I don't care to keep that much power on the sensor for more than a second, even focused to as wide as I can while still fitting on the sensor. They made my 593 right too. The 2nd one they sent was underspec by half...

Unlimited duty cycle, but also, continuous usage should not exceed 3 minutes....🤣

I see. I'm guessing the diodes don't have modules with copper back halves like DTR offers. It would be cool if they did and if that block they're in was copper

I ordered a number of lasers from tinker tavern. Among them were two of the 591 pen lasers (30mW), which are actually 593.5nm One of them is faulty, and it's being replaced, but they don't want the faulty one back. It will turn on, but within seconds the dot starts dimming until it goes out...

What is the issue with the focus ring? Do they use standard lenses? Hmm, I guess you might not know regarding their diode lasers, 488nm is dpss right?
