Just got my 405 and 532, shipped on the 21st and here in the UK today! 405-60mW 532-32mW Using GP 1000 AAA 1.2v batteries. The 532 seems to peak as soon as the button is hit (the spill onto my wall is similar to my 110mW opto pen!) I'm pleased :-)

Update: Frank recommends this: 405/450nm laser coated collimation lens /glass [OL-405L] - $7.39 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce Not sure if it'll fit as there's no specs but he said someone who had problems uses this fine. I think i'm going to see if i can find it elsewhere due to o-like not...

Nice review! Just wanted to let you know i bought a 150mW version off a member here, and he had it for a few years and it still meters at around 115mW. I've dropped it in a river for like 2 seconds (damn shallow pockets) and hooked it out left it in the airing cupboard for a day and it still...

Belive me it's hard to get a decent pic of the insides with enough light. It's threaded some of the way yes, the module is just dropped in and held in place with that round ring though. I would modify it but tbh i wouldn't even know where to start. And seems this is the first laser i acquired...

It isn't too hard, i just unscrewed the gold ring inside the business end (pretty stiff) then the module pops out. You should see the lens inside and be able to get to it a bit easier, i just hacked away at the glue (my lens is already broken beyond use so i didn't take much care) and unscrewed...

Should always hold the laser to the side or above when lighting them, wouldn't wanna get any blimmers on the lens.

Damn! :drool: How long did shipping take on average to the EU for you? When i ordered it didn't give me any idea of how long it takes, only that it's shipped haha.

Still haven't been able to sort this, managed to get the module out from the host but as far as getting the lens out it looks like they made it pretty hard. Stuck with some sort of glue. quite tempted to see if i can send it to someone and see if anyone can salvage it for me. (when money permits...

You shouldn't have any problems with customs as there is no law in the UK regarding buying lasers, apart from you aren't able to sell lasers over 5mW in the UK. (As far as i can find anyway) If it's any help i'm in the UK and have gotten all my lasers from the US/EU with no problems at all. :)

Thanks for the replies, the battery doesn't fit with a bit of electric tape over the conductor (that's how tight a fit it is that it still fits with the conductor but not less than a mm of tape) I have completly removed the PCB at the negative end and the conductor but it isn't powering up my...
