    Laser Trackers on UK Helicopters

LOL I like your corner reflector idea! I'm still trying to figure out how they think they can "Fingerprint" a laser from it's wavelength. I would think that all greenies would have the same wavelength (+- a few nm). They say it's like matching bullets to a gun, but I can't see how it's possible...

    Laser Trackers on UK Helicopters

Indeed. I'm wondering if this story has our UK members going underground. May be dangerous to lase in public for a while. At least Andy can do his shows indoors. :) Is it time to get paranoid? Is this the revenge of TL ? :-X CC

    Laser Trackers on UK Helicopters

Yikes! Scary story on BBC today about  the UK police being able to track laser strikes and "match the wavelength" to the culprit's laser. (Yeah... right ) Very interesting read though.  I hope they get the punks and leave we hobbyists alone. Here's the link...

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays He's probably just getting some sleep, getting back home (he had to travel to sort out his mess, remember?), getting his home crap taken care of and maybe then getting around to reading three weeks worth of emails and LPF posts.  He'll no doubt...

    Shamwow guy arrested

Holy Crap! I have evolved! Never had high-waters though. Always been a Levis 501 and Doc Martens kinda guy. And I just can't shake the watch habit. ;D Thanks Dave!

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays Good news indeed. Thanks for passing it on Scopeguy20. As usual, Dave tracked down the perfect visual metaphor for Igor's recent state of mind. :D I'm sure we won't be playing that on Guitar Hero anytime soon. ;D ( Impressive as it was... ) I...

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays :D An interesting metaphor... But really. I don't see people hanging on for dear life while the icy waters of the Atlantic creep closer and death awaits them. A little over-dramatic, dontcha think? All I see is a few folks who just want...

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays Ironically, this is good advice. A lot of you have that little voice in the back of your head whispering "you're being scammed, sucka!", and it's making you mad. That anger is the emotion that's driving all of this removed. Rationality would...

Re: FS: >110mW PHR, >140mW 4x & >170mW 6x Blu-Rays Patience young ones... Igor's trouble with the tax man is the only thing he should be worrying about now. He is an honest and dedicated professional who is in a shitload of trouble right now. He will not renege on his commitments, but his...

    Pioneer 8X Blu-Ray-- BDR-203

Great beam shots Dave. I take it you don't have a smoke detector in the garage... ;D It will indeed be interesting to see how long this beast can last. May it live long and phosphor. ::) (OK, that one stunk... LOL) Cheers, CC

I, for one welcome our new daguin overlord... ;D Great work Dave! [smiley=thumbsup.gif] (and all the others that contributed to this breakthrough as well). Let me know when you start sellin' these puppies... I haven't even got my Igor BR yet and it's already a generation behind. :( Who will...

Tactical P7 900 lumen LED flashlight for sale!

Heh Heh... I ride year-round here in Toronto! ;D Yes the light is removable quite simply. I've found that most Chinese plastic snaps really easily in cold weather. (I've been through a lot of mounts trying to find ones that are OK with cold.) Rubber straps are better, they're just stiffer...

Tactical P7 900 lumen LED flashlight for sale!

Hey Rangedunits, Spend a little more money and get this one: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12623 It has a very nice transition from hotspot to spill and it's 900 lumens, which is close to a car headlight in intensity. I use these on my bars and helmet for riding. Very bright and no...

Tactical P7 900 lumen LED flashlight for sale!

This light looks similar to the 1300 lumen monster available on DX: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.20233 My riding buddy showed up with that one. He'd bought it thinking it might make a better bike light, but this thing seriously weighs over 3 pounds. The heat sink is massive and...

    Military laser hits 105Kw

Great discussion folks, So if I understand you all correctly, the infantry uniform of the future may well be a kevlar-impregnated silver lamé jumpsuit, a full coverage mirrored helmet and a pair of Frothy's OD3 goggles. Shiny happy people indeed... 8-) Maybe this is why terminators will be...
