Building a orange (613nm) Laser from scratch with off-the-shelf parts (and for cheap!)

Your adhesive will set something like 1/2 the cure time for every 10-15degC hotter it's sitting at during cure. Drive a small reverse TEC current and it should setup a lot sooner.

Building a orange (613nm) Laser from scratch with off-the-shelf parts (and for cheap!)

It's definitely the IR not the mean path, my chambers can pump down below 1micronHg, and the surfaces are surface insulated. I have a IR heat flux sensor to be able to easily quantify it. It's what lead me to multiple layers of gold foil separated by a polyethylene mesh scrim. This is because...

Building a orange (613nm) Laser from scratch with off-the-shelf parts (and for cheap!)

You may find you get a higher total deltaT by using 2 stages of TEC over 3 stages of TEC, and not get your box as hot. This is because of each series stage of junctions being a higher heat load than your diode. You may also get your last 2nm by adding IR shielding around the LD cold platform...

Building a orange (613nm) Laser from scratch with off-the-shelf parts (and for cheap!)

Nice job on protecting from humidity. I like the idea any diode you mount in that housing let's you shift the wavelength by a significant amount. How useful to be able to stimulate a sample with a single frequency LD, then shift the input frequency both directions by +-5nm and re-capture the...

    Sharp 395nm 300mW Diode GH0393AA2G

The short wavelengths can show Raman lines very nicely. Remember the bright PL emissions are always in the same wavelength range. This means short wavelength pumps give you the most clear Raman wave numbers when the shift is smaller and more near to the pump. Sometimes 785nm gives you <1% of the...

    Sharp 395nm 300mW Diode GH0393AA2G

I have a 375nm 200mW that my eyes at least vividly see (like 1-2mW of 532nm perhaps). I would guess 395nm will appear bright on most bright colored surfaces from stokes shifting dye emissions. Im just using them for measuring Raman shift wavenumbers and PL emissions spectra measurements, so if...

    Sharp 395nm 300mW Diode GH0393AA2G

I'm happy to take 3 of them to help you get enough orders in. I can pay you in advance as usual.

    375nm USHIO 200mW HL37013MG Diode

Hi Philip, I will be honored to be a part of meeting your minimum pcs to order. This is a great price for this uncommon diode. PM me a PayPal address to pay.

    *445nm lasers* !GB-Closed!

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$! This is why I will only mess with an A-140 diode over the A-130 diode. And for people asking why I would ever need over 1w, it's not for a pointer, it's for a project to join 8 diodes together with a beam splitter array to make an 8-10w laser...

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$! kiyoukan- I wana see that number "3" on the end of the part number on the package for this array. Make sure that happens. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

    *445nm lasers* !GB-Closed!

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$! I re-read over the thread, and maybe I just missed where it states it, but these are definately the A-140 projector light engines you are getting right? I ask because it seems to be a half-watt or more of output capability and a substantial...

Distant early warning... 445nm to be banned soon?

Except the country with hundreds of times lower rate of crimes with guns is a country where every male over 20 years old has a fully automatic assault rifle kept in his home, and a side-arm pistol, and they are all trained how to proficiantly kill with it (Switzerland). They have 6-times...

Distant early warning... 445nm to be banned soon?

No. This is not how it works my friend. Casio has made a perfectly safe projector when used as a projector. It takes a high level of specialized skills and intent to take a component of this projector and make it into a tool to do malicious things with. If someone wants to do malicious...

Distant early warning... 445nm to be banned soon?

They are selling a product as safe as any other in the projector market. There are always ways to take some reasonably harmless product and make it dangerous if you take it apart and re-purpose components in it. A normal project can have it's HV supply for the Xenon bulb strike used to make...

Distant early warning... 445nm to be banned soon?

Loads of free publicity (and ANY publicity is good publicity in product marketing), bringing awareness of a unique light-engine technology to people who never otherwise would have cared to read a tech article, but do read news articles. It's basically like the best product marketing plan you...

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$! This is exactly what we had expected, and totally reasonable. We have all ready come up with a solution for the re-distrobution between us. Best wishes, -Luke

Re: *445nm lasers* !arrays 550$ and diodes 35$! If we're going to play classic GB waiting game stuff, if you want to set me up with the contact, i can front the full cash for a whole order of 10 modules if its a game of waiting on indivdial payments holding us back.
