On the money, Cyparagon. Yes, fluorescent UV bulbs peak at 365-370nm, but they have another strong emission line at 405nm. That will account for a lot of the violet you see emitting from it.

Re: Kenometer laser power meter interest. I have one of Kenom's "old-skool" Kenometers and I use it frequently. Great, easy-to-read display and simple operation, I strongly recommend this product. Step up and get these units, folks!

I loooove my Kenometer. Easy to use, bright green display and complete single-box design. I use it often. I actually like the simple, no-frills design.

It arrived yesterday! With fresh batteries, it meters in at...get this...1mW! Seriously, the beam is beautiful, if a bit divergent. I'm amazed that they packed in a HeNe tube in such a small package. Finally I have a nice round beam red laser.
