Well that's a lot of things the lens shouldn't interact with. I'll go check where I can get some pure ethylene locally. I keep blasting the lens with compressed air from time to time. Is that also bad? The G2 doesn't have the MgF2 coating. Maybe it's a much better lens after all.

I managed to clean up my G1 with a Chinese ultrasonic cleaner for about $20 using regular water. There are still visible spots when completely defocused but a lot better than before. The focused dot splash has also considerably been reduced almost 90% (previously 14" wide on a white painted...

This also looks more like spherical ab rather than what I initially thought was TEM30.

I haven't even heard of sodium lamps until you mentioned it. :thanks: The cheapest I could find were upwards of $20 though. I still think the $9 Uvex glasses still have the upper hand price-wise, don't use any electricity, and can be brought almost anywhere. Or bottled melatonin.

Orange, as in orange-blocking? I meant glasses that block blue light, meaning the Eagle Pair 190-540nm I have would suffice. I just woke up after wearing the glasses for an hour before sleeping. Five hour rest... well I must say I didn't have any difficulty sleeping at all, and I woke up...

Re: FS (one more): SAIK 2.2W+ 445 Builds, w/ G1 Lens Congratulations. The spacers are used with the 26500 batteries if I recall correctly. For a 26650 battery, it will be a very tight fit, as rhd mentioned.

Thanks for the heads up. I also live with a tropical climate, currently looking for a nice Pelican case to stuff with dessicant for mine that has a G1. Just barely attached, the G1 shows a lot of spots and streaks, just like what S_L posted. Screwing in about halfway, the stuff's less...
