I understand how wattage works for vaping, but as far as powering a laser through the 510 connection I don't see how it plays in. There's the voltage, easy, just set it to 3.7v and let the boost and buck handle the rest. I just don't get what the wattage does for the laser.
I've been wanting to somehow integrate a laser into my 510 mod.... Looks like I got beat to it!
But how does power factor into whatever it is we plug in? My mod goes from 3W to 15W. Voltage 3V-6V. I'm concerned about the wattage. What would we put that at for, say, a 9mm 445?
I've been gone...
I'm going to be doing a quick review of the Jetlasers Ti B 532nm laser, bought for an awesome price thanks to Gray from Jetlasers and their group buy going on right now here.
To start, I'll go over shipping. I payed my invoice via PayPal Friday the 13th a little after noon. The following...
Re: FS: 2.5W C11 build: 9mm 445nm, 2.2A x-drive, G2 lens - $260 shipped
Yeah, good point.
I metered it before I shot this video, but I'll for sure be doing a little lens cleanse before I ship this out.
And thanks! The C11 is the perfect host for these higher powered builds... A huge heatsink...
Re: FS: C11 build: 9mm 445nm, 2.2A x-drive, G2 lens
2.5 watts.
It's a little low, which leads me to believe that either 1) my batteries are crap, 2) the LPM I used is under-reporting, 3) inefficient diode.
Funds have become tight and I'm looking to buy the Moto X (smartphone for those who don't know) in the first week of August, so I'm here to sell my strongest and most badass laser. It's going to be hard to say goodbye to this thing, but I gotta do what I gotta do.
The build:
The diode is a...
Re: WTB bare(or sled) REDs 5.6mm >240mW ($15)
My got-to red diodes are LPC-826's from Cajunlasers. I'd recommend you get these.
They're open can 5.6mm 660nm diodes easily capable of 300mw (I run mine high at 510mA), and only cost $11!
