I think this is a great idea. I have only repped people a few times since joining the site, but have been helped tremendously on numerous occasions. I think I will go back and rep several of those whose old posts I learned from even when I wasn't part of the discussion!
What characteristics are most important to you? These two look pretty similar. I would try searching the forum for feedback on these two vendors as that is probably the main difference between the two lasers themselves.
Yep, I feel like a doof because I KNEW that. Work fried my brain today.
Anyways, it works, AND IT'S GLORIOUS!!!
I want to point it from here to a nearby mountain, as well as across the frozen sea for some cool first pics. Do you think it is reasonably safe to take my goggles off outside...
I only took it apart down to that piece that says "lattice bright ver2.0." I sure hope that is supposed to come out though, because a piece just broke off after several attempts at reseating the laser assembly.

Hey RA I wasn't here when you left but welcome back! Awesome photos thanks for sharing. Take flaminpyro's advice and head back out to the desert with one of those lasers and that Sony!! :)
Welcome man. I know how you feel. I am very excited for my new 3.5W 445 kit to arrive so I can become a child again. I plan to take some "across the frozen sea" pics to so I am hoping they turn out ok. For love of the beam.
