Thanks, I did search, but thought it was funny that could not find anything and that never happens. I searched again and guess what came up front and center. Thanks again.
A friend gave me a green laser and the power supply to go with it, said it did not work. I got it working but pulled the modulation plug out and now don't know which socket it plugs back into. Just don't want to plug into the wrong one. I can't find any info on this, so I am trying hear for...
Thank you, the 12 inches was just a test. Most of my beaming is in trees and the sky. Thank you for the mind expansion. I will try the g8 outside tonight.
Thanks very much for the education, don't think it was backwards cause of the little notches for turning. Everything is good just needed to know it was right. Thanks again.
I bought off dtr laser a 20mm copper module and a g8 lens for it. The 20mm copper one came with a lens that screwed into the copper. I had to turn the threaded part almost all the way in to get it to focus about 3 to 5 feet. Also had to remove the focus ring to do that. Seemed the threaded part...
Thanks Paul, will do a few test. I would not think it would make much difference from 1khz to 20khz, but at low switching speed probably does something. I will try a few different frequencies see if any difference. A 1 min run time at 50% duty would be same time at any freq. Later and
thanks.
Not stumbled across the answer to this. What is the advantage or disadvantage of say I have a box with diode and ttl input. The spec's say max 20khz. What is the advantage of say running at 1khz, 5khz, 10 or 20khz. Really got my interest, so thanks a bunch.
Thanks for all the tips. I have been a consumer electronics repair for over 30 years. And now I will practice ESD, don't want to lose any of these little jewels. I find them fascinating. I am very asinine when doing safe handling of solid state goodies. I have found much stuff that I did not...
Just getting into this as a new hobby, ordered a diode and found a thing you put the diode in with a g2 lens. It was a piece of crap, could not screw together or unscrew, it was thin and and had a cheep chrome outer that just slid off. Only reason I ordered was it was all I could find. You all...
So wavelength has nothing to do with it, it was, was just that 445 nm diode generally could draw more than a amp. So you could still use his setup you just naturally not go over the rating of the diode. Thanks for clearing this up. I did not notice the age of the post, will be more observant.
