Hmm, didnt know it was soo tough to cut through 1mm steel(or less).
Guess a laser like that wont be very cheap =)
Probably better if I find a cheaper plasma then =/ At least while just playing around.
Seen some nice plasmacutters for about 300$, which cut through 12mm steel like butter.
So, I was thinking about building a cnc machine, with a laser.
First I thought of engraving, but now I'm thinking about a cutting laser.
Basicly, I do some lockpicking for fun (no crimes), and I was thinking about how great it would be to have a machine to cut out picks for me/others.!
you sure it wouldnt work? because I think mine are spinning a lot faster than it should, as I use 16V for it :P It gets hot after 30sec to a minute of spinning..
I know its not healthy for the fan, but thats what I got to try out the tunnel thingy ^^
I use a Nikon D40 .. Bought it a couple of years back. Great camera for the price, and a lot of fun :)

Nice =) Yeah, its really easy. If you now go ahead and plaze one more motor, or even 2 more (3 total) then you'll see some great effects.. :) Try reversing one of the 3 motors. If you use 2 motors I think they could go the same way. Not sure, as I havn't tried it yet. :)

I used some smoke, yes :) Had an old smoke-machine I got for my birthday when I was a kid xD Still works, never actually used it :P
My greene should be 50mW, but its from DealExtreme, and that particular laser have been tested lower than that. SO I would guess 40mW? Maybe a littlebit less...
