You're correct. Also check ebay, there are usually tons of 532nm 5mw pen style lasers for cheap and as well as 405nm. If you're just wanting to do some star pointing with the 532nm, it would suffice.

You must be really patient when buying from Chinese companies. Their communication is not always best and you should expect to wait 2-4 weeks for your laser. Many people from the forum have bought from lazerer and the feedback is mostly positive. Give it some time.

You can't go wrong with Optotronics. They have been around for a good while and have excellent reputation. The thing with most 5mW 532nm lasers is that they're usually overspec and put out a lot of IR, especially the cheap ebay ones. That one from Optotronics will have <1mW of IR. Good luck...

Honestly, I don't think you will see much of a difference between the two. The 100mw will probably be underspec and that 5mw will more than likely be over 5mw.
