Re: My poor laser... =[ long story...
You could probably turn it into a red or contact Laserglow about getting it repaired (at your cost since it it out of warranty).
You could also try removing the module from a DX 100 or equivalent and creating a "franken-laser" with the Galileo body.
nice find - what are the dimensions on this thing??
(3 button batteries sort of make it less useful for a pointer unless you can mod it to take something beefier)
these would give a false sense of security, perhaps more dangerous than no glasses at all. I agree with Pseudo, don't buy these unless you really know what you're doing and are not using high powered IR sources.
Judge the company by honesty and customer service. Judge the laser according to it's merits and advertised performance. Honesty in advertising is key. For the laser to measure out at only 15mW when sold as 30mW is fradulent.
Nothing wrong with a laser that has lots of IR as long as you're aware...

The heatsinks can be bought online or at a local hobby shop. I don't remember the exact inner diameter of the heatsinks so you'll need to do some research and take some measurements of the metal gear body.
The lasers I made don't require duty cycle from what I can tell (I've left them on over...
