sorry for the late reply. These diodes are 9mm, so normal aixiz modules wont work. meredith modules will work but are more expensive and are recommended more. i simply bought the module from ebay and was 9mm. As far as im aware all 1w or above infrared diode in the to3 package are 9mm. cmount...

Hey guys, sorry i havnt been posting for a while. been very busy with exams. But i did manage to start the build with loads of ups and downs lol. -I made 2 drivers, one for a PHR and one for an LPC-815. i didnt use a pot for any as by using abit of physics (resistors in parralel and series)...

So to conclude this project, i really have gained a siginificant power boost from upgrading the driver and diode. the host is really good and because of the good heatsink i can have some really long duty cycles and only after 7-10 minutes does start to warm up I like the dilda focusing head...
