Dear laserexperts . I would like to know how to properly use a beam expander as far as concerned focussing the beam for long distances ( 5miles- plus) . Is it correct to widen the laserbeam at first for less divergence after long distance or should one keep the beam very tiny on short distance...
Wrong. They
Look into perspective . Even physicists admit that on a flat plane one can look further just because perspective also works on a flat plane. Its simple but easily overlooked. I did not say earth is flat but the ancients just had no good equipment like for instance the p 900...
I am a new member from Holland that is looking for some help with an upcoming experiment we are organizing that involves a laser test. Looking for info here and are ready to buy the laser and other accesoires we need . Thanks !
Hi Brendon i am looking for a long distance green laser with at least a 10 times beam expander . It has to reach 5 kilometer with a beam spot no bigger than 1 meter . Can you help ? Regards , Ruud
That only proves that angular resolution (angles get to small because of perspective) is the cause we cannot see the shore anymore. No proof of a globe or a flat surface. You really need a laser to prove on way or the other.
