    Welding Goggles for IR?

    I use these: http://www.airgas.com/browse/product.aspx?Msg=RecID&recIds=25937&WT.svl=25937

    whats the fuss about IR?

Ah, thats true, I forgot about the whole coherent issue. I agree, it's definitely better to err on the side of caution, it was just that people tend to make IR out to be a point blank DeathStar being shot into your skull.

    whats the fuss about IR?

As far as diffuse reflections/sources are concerned I doubt the danger level given to NIR/IR. Some of it just doesn't add up. ***It should be noted that given the same intensity and exposure all light with the exception of UV is equally as dangerous no matter the wavelength. Exposure is reduced...

Modding a WL CORE into an IR burner.

ah, thank a ton! I managed to get it off by using both a knife and a pair of heavy duty pliers at the same time. It seems to have fixed the beam obstruction problem, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do next. If I decided to pull out the collimation unit how hard would it be to put it back...

Modding a WL CORE into an IR burner.

Lol yeah, I've tried twisting it off, prying it off, and using a razor blade to wedge it off but it won't budge, and I want it to go back together after I finish toying with it's innards, lol.

Modding a WL CORE into an IR burner.

I got this core for free (shipping included) so I'm not about to pay to ave it fixed. I have another core that works perfectly fine anyway, just figured it might actually serve a purpose via IR burner. I don't think I'll have a problem removing the right parts and re-aligning the diode to...

Modding a WL CORE into an IR burner.

I have a completely free Core that has horrible beam specs (mode hops, beam is so far from aligned that it's half blocked by the edge of the lens, lot of internal reflection spray, etc) and I'd like to see about removing the DPSS module and leaving in only the diode assembly (which should be...

    Welding Goggles for IR?

You have to look for Burning/Cutting goggles, as "welding" ones are designed to block all light, IR UV and VIS. Burning goggles are clear to sunglasses darkness and block out the IR created from molten metal, not sure if they block UV too though. I know for a fact that there are Shade 4 and 5...

    BluRay in-a-box

I really do hope you start producing many of these! You'd have the entire market to yourself really. Until then I hope no one buys the one you have until I have the money, lol!

    BluRay in-a-box

This is an awesome idea, and at a wonderful price. As soon as I find myself $155 richer you can count on my patronage! Are there currently any available, and if not, when might one be? Also, I'm new to LPF (but not new to laser forums, I call Spectra Forum my home) so how might I go about...
