Re: O-like 400mw green - Review @Slickfins1986 Interesting power "reference" for us not having a LPM. I tried the same and got quite similar results, except for the last distance. The first attempt took 26 seconds. The second took only seven.. I know that the power output on mine is quite...

Re: O-like 400mw green - Review @weeba2kv Mine needed exactly 6 seconds as well for getting tru a CD case unfocused. They are obviously close in spec. But that's during the first try. After some seconds it starts to mode hop a whole lot.. bxnWz1dYhbc

Re: O-like 400mw green - Review Yeah, of course. I was just saying that there's an added danger related to the wl. All in all they are all dangerous when used unwisely.

Re: O-like 400mw green - Review @ZapU Cool mod. Glad you could fix yours that easily. Would this affect only the dot shape or power output as well? I guess I'll have to take a look inside mine.

Re: O-like 400mw green - Review I was referring to this: Blue Light Hazard A reflection alone is hazardous. In my case that would imply no use indoors what so ever since I have a little kid and also a pet in the house. And there are quite a few reflective surfaces. PS: Not that I use any...

Re: O-like 400mw green - Review @InfinitusEquitas That would be really cool, thanks! Perhaps that may be a more suitable gadget for me. It does sound like it's easier to get hurt / damage something with one though. The thing that made me hesitate was the radiation from that wavelength.. But I...

Re: O-like 400mw green - Review @InfinitusEquitas Oh, you do.. :) Bit O.T. But.. Just curious. How are the burning abilities / focusing over looong distances on those 1W's? I guess I hoped this green one was good at exactly that. For burning just at close up I can really use a lighter.

Re: O-like 400mw green - Review Why not change it for 445nm 1.2W focusable? I was considering that but after all i've read in this thread I may keep it. It's not the worst of the bunch imho. I've managed to burn trhu a CD case in 1 sec. I guess that should require more than 300mw of green..

Re: O-like 400mw green - Review That sounds promising. Perhaps there are some cheap components that can be replaced with better ones..

Re: O-like 400mw green - Review Seriously, those two lasers aren't exactly comparable. If I was interested in spending 550USD on a laser I'd find a good one. The point is that some of these o-likes actually perform really great, and that at reasonably low price for a "toy". AND with high power...

Re: O-like 400mw green - Review Not bad. That's close to what Susie estimated the loss to. 30-50mw. Not worth messing with in my opinion. What I find strange is that mine burns ok for the first 30 sec then suddenly stops. Even though the intencity of the beam remains virtually the same.. Then...
