Arctic sliver 5 is capacitive (can carry electricity and tends to hold it I do not know how well though) I don't know if that would hurt the diode. There are a lot of other pastes like OCZ freeze or MX-2 that are just as good.
Well the glass killed the die before I could try to use it all I got was a short open can red out of this. All I used was the macro setting on the cyber-shot and a bright light. You might want to use a magnifying glass to get any closer that was the limit of the camera.
I ended up killing the blue-ray :'( :'( :'( ( broke the glass trying to extract it )
The red is still working great though even though I was much tougher on it :-?.
The macro shot was just with a 7.2 megapixel Sony Cyber-shot, the original picture is huge I just cut out the part I wanted.

Drew I just ordered an lpc extracted with two Aixiz modules. I understand if it takes a while for the Aixiz to come in, but I hope they will come in soon. :)
