Honestly I didn’t bother reading much you posted. I had a hard time getting past your attitude. I’ve been working with electronics for over 20 years just not with lasers in particular and working daily with voltages over 10k dc. I’m aiming for 2000yds illumination and didn’t see that happening for $20. I have $25k in night vision so $1000 in parts to build a reliable laser is nothing. All I asked for was point me in the right direction, not spoonfeeding, but instead I got a smart ass kid that’s a forum badass. Good luck to ya man. I’ll figure it out without your help.

Did you even bother to read the thread I linked you? I gave you the answers you seem to have sought. Oh well. I vote HMT or Acc.

If you don't think a $15 diode will compete, then by all means, buy the $1500 unit.
