Correct, voltage and electricity is just that, so the wavelength is totally useless, perhaps it was harvested from an 808 but doesn't matter. Also, if you plan to use 1x AA alkaline, I may be wrong but you may need to use a 'boost' driver that has voltage inputs of an alkaline 1.5v. I recommend...

So if he would use 2 batteries, wouldn't that double the voltage (7.4?) and create more heat on the driver? Or does that require a new driver?

Hehe, thanks for your input. I would also assume that the screw on part on the front of the flashlight host differs in size to accommodate the reflectors for the LEDs.
