    Polyboost driver

Some beam shots of the Kyocera SLD module with the Z1 22mm FL lens. I’m thinking if a shorter focal length could actually increase the “white laser” effect here by having a smaller initial beam diameter even if divergence increases… I’ll try to get rid of some of the spill with a black gasket

Anyone know what laser diode this is ? Possibly one of the mini arrays ?

Holy shit, crazy to find this thread just now! Was googling for a ref on the Kyocera SLD that I just added to the poly beam collection where all other builds uses those micro arrays!

    Polyboost driver

One more Polyboost build still using a Convoy Z1 host. Probably the last one of this collection. This time it’s not exactly a laser but have two visible blue laser diodes aiming at a phosphorus layer: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/convoy-z1-lep-emitter/232819

    Blue Tetra-beam Titanium/Copper build (15W?)

Even cooler with a 5x expander! Thanks @Z80 Lasers!

    Blue Tetra-beam Titanium/Copper build (15W?)

Nice monoheatsink! This should match really good with the cooper S2’s! How is it fixed? I have some high powered builds on Convoy S2’s: (and a lot more in the >2W range) - Nubm0C @5.8A on a smooth copper S2+ (~6.5w?) - GH04C06V9G @6.2A on aluminum S2 (~10w?) Both are using the full DTR 20mm...

    Blue Tetra-beam Titanium/Copper build (15W?)

The 93 grams of copper that sink the heat of this thing for some seconds before it’s too hot to hold 🤣 Also a comparison with my purple twins and a Survival Laser C6 host.

    Blue Tetra-beam Titanium/Copper build (15W?)

Things gets interesting with an expander, the threads to attach them were the biggest goal for this project

    Blue Tetra-beam Titanium/Copper build (15W?)

Another Qualas build, this time using a Nubb24t submodule. The Fan shaped beams were fun, but what about going parallel for this build? Build summary: - Unsoldered the submodule from the Nichia module, I kept the original lens array this time - Reflowed the 4 LD’s submodule in a 20mm DTP...

    JLasers - PLPT9 450MD_E 12W Diode

The B64B70 bin looks interesting! I’d love to see how much it will shift up with some overcurrent

    JLasers - GH04C07W9GH 11.6W Monster Diode

Very nice! Is the diverge the same as the 10w?

    425nm build (GH04I01A2G)

Found some 3W 425nm pointers on AliExpress and got thinking what could be the diode used on them. Them I found a cheap GH04I01A2G and decided to try over-current it as I think this may be the diode, calculated about 1.5A for the 3W and gave a try! No issues so far! I really liked how the...

    Polyboost driver

More things that Polyboost is not: - Compatible with illuminated tail switches, they get crazy! Had to change plans and identify the RGB collection with colored buttons. - Suitable for common cathode setups, it only work with LS current sensing. I’ll need to work on a variation with HS current...

    Polyboost driver

My multi-beam RGB collection is complete, all of them using Polyboost driver (: More details on the individual posts. Blue Penta-beam: https://laserpointerforums.com/threads/blue-penta-beam-pointer.112067 Red Octa-beam...

    Triple Green Pointer

Build and beam shots. Collimating this one with an D20mm FL15mm lens. Polyboost is pushing 1.3A and I think ~13.5v here.

    Triple Green Pointer

The Numb12t is composed of 2 submodules: - 4x2 reds (used on the octa-beam) - 3x 525nm + 2x 465nm I decided to use the second half on this project with the blues dormant to create a pure green multi-beam. I was not that excited with just 3 beams and was also expecting the greenies to be the...
