    Are you sure? Because the one i handled, beam was solid, almost burn my toe shining it on my feet though. I could be wrong, it might be more than 500mw without him knowing. Or better yet, it might be actually a blue? I found on ebay some 520 and 525nm direct diode with decent power (0.5 - 1W)...

    cool, i'll have a look at those 520 and 525 see what i can get :D I'm aware of violet is alot less visible to human eyes, but higher output capability might compensate for that. I used to handle a guys 500mw violet and the beam is quite solid. beside, that's my favorite color :giggle:

    i don't live in the USA, and i can't contact the dealer so i don't know about returning it. secondly i know what polarity goes where, i had schematic of the pcp so i know where to solder.
