Yes, I know that, I never thought the laser would actually need an IMR to begin with. I'm not using the AW cells atm. because of their size (I think this one is not protected and therefore significantly shorter). I managerd to destroy batteries in the past with "incompatible" flashlights and...
It's been a while since I last posted something, but I just received my Arctic (couldn't resist getting one although at one point I lost all hope to eventually receive anything)...
The battery is a green 1300mAh one, and I was curious about it as well so that's how I ended up here :) I took...
Hey Igor, nice work and great news about all the developments going on with your lasers! Just wanted to leave a quick note as we discussed on e-mail to count me in any "mini-gb" for the lenses, if and when you decide to do it. I'd like two of your "medium" lenses for my (soon to be two...
Very nice FrancoRob, thanks for the comparison! It illustrates to everyone the difference IgorT was talking about in spot shape and size... Regards, Mihnea
Oh, I see now... I didn't look at the details closely enough. In that case I guess the price is not bad at all, especially considering the ones I found online for around 100€ (I'm not kidding, there were several places selling them around that price). I think the UK one looks very promising in...
Hey, that is wonderful! Thank you, thank you :)
Well, actually I believe the second one on this page named "TN1" is the same, it certainly looks like it; it's just extremely expensive...
I'll check the other sites first, there are many shops and I guess at least one should be able to sell...
Oh, the horror! MAPLIN only delivers to the UK -- I had actually built a little over 100 pounds of a basket and they just threw out an error :(
Igor had already told me about Conrad, unfortunately they don't accept Paypal or even Credit Cards for that matter, and I really won't do a bank...
Hey, it's not fair, you got the Cree led module! Wish I had one but eh, oh well... Nice and short review, much appreciated! However, you may think about blurring away the addresses in the pics (yours and Igor's), it's not really a good idea to have those exposed on the Internet.
The...
Great review !
I like how you very courteously mentioned the less-than-stellar buying experience while still presenting IgorT in a good light as he deserves!
As for the details, spot on!
Regards,
Mihnea
I can't see the picture, probably a linking issue...
About Paypal -- for the record, I've been using it for quite some time from a neighbouring country to yours so things should be similar, of course differences may arise:
1) Is the correct solution. You do not need to delete the UK card...
Try Stellarium:

It's a great, free/open-source software that's being actively developed and even has telescope control ability!
Clear skies,

Where to buy IR-therm outside US?
Hello,
Does anyone have any idea as to where these Cen-Tech IR thermometers (or equivalent) can be found in Europe? I tried ordering from the HarborFreight site, but there is no option for international shipping... also all the ones I found on European sites...
Heh, I wish I had a laser with a key-switch -- I saw a few 3-5W IR lasers on sale the other day, talk about powah :D I agree that soft forward-clickies are bad, I only have one light that does that and one has to be careful even when carying it that it doesn't light up all by itself, of course...
The "reverse clickie" means that from the off position, you need to press the button fully to turn the device on, and while on you can press the button half-way to turn it off momentarily. I don't see much use for this, except maybe if you want to engrave something and need to "pause" the laser...
