DX only sell them as packages same for the 1400mA, I'm only looking to buy one or two.

My heatsink is 30mm large and I'm looking for a host. I've been looking for one on DX and so far I found this: DealExtreme: $14.08 UltraFire WF-502B Cree R2-WC 250-Lumen LED Flashlight with Clip (1*18650/2*CR123A) 32,4mm on the outside, do you think a 30mm heatsink would fit on the inside ?

the amc7135 is 17mm large, will not fit in a 9mm module.

the power source will be 2x CR123 batteries

I am currently building a 1w 808nm portable laser. I have everything but a driver. I've seen a few using search but they're all big and I was wondering if any would fit inside the o-like 9mm module, it would be more convenient. So if anyone knows or want to suggest a driver, please post :) P.S...

well I do have a 200mw red that i got for 27$. I can't measure it but im pretty sure it does what a 200mw is supposed to do. I can cut electrical tape, i go through a cd case in about 5-10 seconds.

That's exactly what I was wondering, thanks for the replies. DX has 200mw for 50$ though, but if it's like you say then it's only good for burning.

I'm still relatively new to high power lasers but i've seen lasers on DX and they are really cheap. You can get a 50mw green for 20$. They cost over 100$ on dragonlasers. Why is there such a big difference ? I know DX isnt IR filtered but will the beam look better ? Will the dot be brighter ...

Thanks, even though it's the first laser i build, it's not the first laser i own, i got plenty of green lasers, a 200mw red, and a 5mw violet. Yes I am aware of the dangers of an IR laser and I did buy appropriate goggles for that wavelenght :yh:

It is a 1W laser and yes both aluminum and stainless steel would be free. They let me take whatever I want.
