Another NES Zapper build, my first

Hey Joe, nice work. It's nice seeing someone else putting my tutorial to good use! :) Usually on 2S LIPO packs, they come with set of power leads and balance leads. Most LIPO chargers that balance at the same time require both sets to charge/balance simultaneously. If you run into the...

FS: X-Drive V6 3A Buck Driver "Sale and Info"

Quick question you might know the answer to. If I wanted to run a LED at 1.65A with a Vf of around 3.2v off of a single 3.7v lithium cell, would your driver still regulate it ok? I don't want to use a linear regulator because I want to have the ability to use either a single 18650 or 2x...

    Mohgasm 1.8A; $10 Each

Re: Mohgasm 1.63A; $10 Each Wearing laser goggles and popping a few balloons indoors from a short range, for nostalgia. It'll be pretty controlled with nobody at risk, as usual. Thanks for the tip on the driver.

    Mohgasm 1.8A; $10 Each

Re: Mohgasm 1.63A; $10 Each 1.8A preferrably. It's going to be extremely short pulses (<1 sec) from a 445 nm m140 diode. If you think it can handle 2A, I'd do that too. It's been a while since I have seen what they can handle on short duty cycles.

    Mohgasm 1.8A; $10 Each

Re: Mohgasm 1.63A; $10 Each Ahh ok, yeah I am looking for a 1 cell driver that can bump up the voltage and current limit as well. Let me know if you need any simple cylindrical heat sinks cut out for your drivers. I've got some small diameter 6061 aluminum round stock and a lathe.

Nevermind, I got linked to one before the thread got approved! Mods can delete.

    Mohgasm 1.8A; $10 Each

Re: Mohgasm 1.63A; $10 Each I was looking for basic specs on this thing and couldn't find it. Type of driver? Input voltage range? I'm interested. If you need some simple cylindrical aluminum heatsinks, I can cut some out on the lathe for ya.

    Low M140 output @ 1.05A output. (UPDATE PAGE 2)

Yeah, but I was doing a nice budget build. I knew in theory this driver would work, and it did :) BTW, it hardly got warm on minute long burn sessions, which is plenty of a duty cycle for me.

    Low M140 output @ 1.05A output. (UPDATE PAGE 2)

The new diodes came in. Used the exact same setup, same batteries. Output: 1296 mW at 1.05A.

    DIY 1w-1.5w handheld 445nm questions

Your eye has way more green photoreceptors, so it appears brighter per mW. Grab a low mW green pointer. You can get away with a visible beam and be a little less likely to have an accident with that color. Don't skimp out though... get a decent one with a IR filter on it.

    DIY 1w-1.5w handheld 445nm questions

You plan to use this at night... for what purpose? I assume this isn't going to be used for playing around with other people, correct? You do realize that you're talking about a laser that can instantly blind people. It is seriously 300x the power of an average pointer. This is not a toy...

    Buying your dead ebay greens

I literally just blew a green laser diode from a AAA pointer... already ripped out the driver. It appears to have a pot on it (silver screw looking). PM me your address, and I'll send it to you for cost of shipping in the US. Edit: I am 99% sure the diodes are terrible on most of these...

    Low M140 output @ 1.05A output. (UPDATE PAGE 2)

Re: Low M140 output @ 1.05A output. Anyone good at troubleshooting? You and me both. It's why from the beginning I said I was avoiding this driver, but DX would have me wait like 3 months get what I really need. I may as well build my own driver from parts express with DX's wait time. Once...

    Low M140 output @ 1.05A output. (UPDATE PAGE 2)

Re: Low M140 output @ 1.05A output. Anyone good at troubleshooting? Nice link. I always love when people take the time to make objective tests of products. I must point out that the efficiency of the chip is directly related to the amount of voltage it must drop. Supplying 6v to a buck...

    Low M140 output @ 1.05A output. (UPDATE PAGE 2)

Re: Low M140 output @ 1.05A output. Anyone good at troubleshooting? As I expected. I also got a lower amp draw on a single 18650 due to the high Vf of the 445 diode. If you pop in 2x CR123 (primary) ~3v batteries, you should get the full 1.05A output of the circuit. DO NOT use the...
