thankfully the two ZnSe mirrors were not even with the unit and the lens is removable and cleanable. =)

So to my utter surprise the whole thing actually works perfectly. Looks like whoever came in and told them the laser was dead was just trying to scam them or something. Not that I mind.. So all I need is to fix the slop in the X axis, tension the belts, and then 3D print some mirror mounts...

I actually don't seem to have the two moving mirror mounts.. They must have fallen off before this unit was given to me. Judging by the images though I might be able to 3D print these. The lens looks like crap. It needs to be replaced. The mirror right next to the laser is in perfect condition.
