    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

What is interesting that Dragonlasers has lab laser modules with divergence <1 mrad (with the same with Spartan beam diameter) and much greater price. How do you think what is the main difference in construction? Is there any optics? Unlikely due to high power. 447nm 1Watt Blue Laser - Lab Laser...

Thinking of Buying the 500mW Laserglow 445 Polaris...Please advise

aryntha, do you know, what is the power of this Polaris? Does the most powerful Polaris have just the same circle beam and so good divergence? And what Polaris did you buy (what power)?

Thinking of Buying the 500mW Laserglow 445 Polaris...Please advise

It's interesting to see the beam (what shape it has) and measure the divergence(if it's not circle then what axis diverges with 0.9 mRad?) @Justin Could you please provide beamshots or some videos of high-power Polaris in action?

Thinking of Buying the 500mW Laserglow 445 Polaris...Please advise

Spartan's divergence is 2.5-3 mRad, and Laserglow's Polaris has 0.9 mRad. It's huge difference. Polaris offers unsurpassed quality of components and perfectly adjusted optics.

    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

If it is glass, no dust except sand can damage the lens. The lens coating - yes, but not the lens surface. I've used new, absolutely clean cotton sticks from a lens cleaning kit and the lens cleaning fluid also from that kit. It's very hard to scratch compact disc surface with it but it's...

    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

I'm not sure about the exact kind of material used, but I know that it is easy to scratch even with a cotton swab. If you don't believe - check yourself :yh:

    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

What I want to say to all of the Spartan owners is DON'T try to wipe the lens in any case with any material. The lens is plastic or acrylic so it's very easy to scratch it (like CD surface). Use only penicillus very gently to brash off the dust. By the way, I contacted Dragonlasers support and...

    Arctic Vs Spartan.

It's definitely plastic or acrylic, because it is very easy to scratch even with the cotton swab and lens cleaning fluid. There were no abrasive particles and after cleaning I saw many microscratches. The material of lens seems to be like compact-disc coating - every material can cause...

Lens for Spartan 447nm 1w Where to get?

Ok, but some people enter only this forum section and others - only that section. I only want to hear advices of all of them

Lens for Spartan 447nm 1w Where to get?

Need help! The lens in my Spartan have become dim after some time. It seems that there is some condensate or something inside, because my attempts to clean the lens aren't successful. I've cleaned the lens gently with a cotton wool and lens cleaning fluid but there some scratches appeared (Is it...

    Arctic Vs Spartan.

What is the material Arctic's lens? Spartan has plastic - it's bad. Easy to scratch even with a cotton swab. And is there possibility to adjust position of the lens in order to get better divergence?

    Lens for Spartan 447nm 1w

I've used cotton swab and lens cleaning fluid for high quality optics and anyway I've got scratches! I thing it's stupid and unacceptable to use plastic lens in 250$ device. It's almost impossible to clean lens without scratches if it's plastic.

    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

what is the material of the lens? I'm shocked but I think it's plastic, not glass. I've just tried to clean the lens with a cotton wool on a match and it seems that there some scratches have appeared. Who knows, what lens it can be replaced by? Maybe from some DVD-drives?

    Dragon Lasers 1W Spartan

I've tested my batteries after charging with this Ultrafire charger. I've got 17 minutes of continuous working with an ability to burn light-coloured wood. Then the beam becomes weaker and weaker. Is it very bad result? How much time do other LiFePo4 batteries work? Especially using other chargers.
