No they are not the same person. He did sell me RT laser though. I know others have purchased from him, he made a good handful of lasers for people on here last year.
The weird thing is I have texted him, emailed him at work almost once or twice a week for probably the first 4 months then just sporadically till now. I really don't care about the 3.5w 445 all I really want is my 405 and pl520. Just sucks I'm out like $400
Hello, it has been long over due on this, but almost a year ago I purchased a mx 3.5w laser from Taylor. After receiving it the laser ended up having something burned on the diode glass. Long story short two days later diode dies. So I send it back along with a bdr 16x diode with driver and...
Yeah I would say so. It really shines at a distance (obviously lol), I was just surprised at the vast difference in the two dot profiles at about 70 yards. :D
For $17 you really can't beat it and it was so easy!

Really having trouble getting a good shot but you can kinda see.
Thank you for your gratitude! I used no glue and only used what I purchased it all came together nicely the mounting is an issue though. For around 17 bucks and some tinkering anyone can make this into a working adjustable beam expander! How do I post pics?
So at 31 feet with 3 element lenses we get a "dot" of 50mm. With the beam expander we get a more perfect dot of 20mm.
Can't take a picture of the dot with calipers in frame since I have to hold the beam expander in place.
Thank you for your reply I have studied your posts and followed them for some time now and yes you are right. I guess my main point of this was to give people a project and a cheap alternative for a beam expander. I took apart the telephoto lens and had to take two plano-convex and one big...
Alright the optics I ordered arrived and I must say that this 12x telephoto lens does really work well at reducing the divergence I will post numbers in a little while, but the output is greatly reduced. I will try to remove the third lens inside to see if that helps but as a cheap beam expander...
It never really becomes an obvious line from the distance I have seen it becomes more or less a squarish circle at about 30 feet. The strange phenomenon I have been wondering about is the beam coming out of the expander seems to be split in half with two square beams on top of one another idk if...
